| Arrrghhhhhh!!!!! I did GREAT on my (re)induction last week and was feeling great, too. Started really watching the calories on Monday AND had started walking more plus using some weights over the weekend... I haven't gone near the scale in awhile either and I don't plan to! My clothes were even feeling a bit loser on Monday... Then yesterday, I just don't know what came over me... found a new box of Pop Tarts at 9 p.m. last night and ate 2 of them... then helped myself to anything ELSE I felt like eating!!! I know better than this... I've gone for MONTHS now without wanting this kind of food and am not even tempted by it -- wasn't even hungry last night! Back to the beginning again today... sigh... | I know you have already gotten rid of the LC candy but I was going to say...even if it doesn't cause a gain or a stall, the other thing to look at is, does it cause cravings? If it does for you, it's not ok to eat. ANY time you introduce a new food, it's important to look at both of those things: does is cause a gain/stall, does it induce cravings. I wonder if you are eating something that is causing you cravings. And remember, just a taste of those pop tarts will perpetuate cravings for them! I hope you can get your cravings for those out of your system. I know it's hard though. -WW |

| To answer your question without sounding sarcastic - I'm going on 1 year this weekend! Guess I'm going to call it my 1 year "stalliversary". I gain and lose the same pounds. Ughhhh. |

| Somewhere in the last week, I read that one can hit a weight that they were at for a lengthy time and when one hits that weight again on the downwards spiral, the body has a "memory" of it and wants to stay there... I wonder if this is something that is happening to me? For quite a few years I didn't lose or gain anything (wasn't really trying) and my weight was right at 150. Lowcarb4me: Wow - a whole year! Frustrating, isn't it...? IF just a pound would drop even only once a month, that would sure be helpful and encouraging... I'm going to have to start picturing creepy, crawly bugs in those pop tarts again. LC since 3/17/03 180 / 149 / 130 |

| Harleygal, I found myself about 2 months ago doing the same thing you're doing. My kids were eating pop tarts in the a.m. I found myself eating the one they didn't. It just flies right in your mouth and you don't think twice about it. I have tried everything to get going again. So this week, I found some sample menus on line and I'm trying to follow them. I am also writing down what I eat (I hate doing it, but I have to!) and am finding that I range from 25 to 30 carbs and 1500 to 2000 in calories, which I think is a good range. I haven't found my CCL yet because I never wrote anything down. But maybe if I keep up journaling everything, I can find my problem. Too bad it's taken an entire year for me to do it. Hope you get going again, I'm sure you will. Tip: buy the flavor of pop tarts you don't like, then maybe they won't find their way to your mouth! |
