| I have been doing the Dr. Atkins since April of 2002. Except I totally went off the deep end in April/May of this year.I started eating carbs again, I mean breads, pasta and sweets. I have a hard time with sweets as it is. I want to get back on the plan but not sure where to start. My starting weight was 240. I was down to 172. And now I am back up to 180. My goal weight is 160. Where do I go to from here? Do I go back to the induction phase? Or do I start a a different level of carb intake. Does anyone have suggestions for me? |

| Hi blueberry, If I were you I would start all over again at induction and go from there. Obviously you have the courage and ability to lose the weight. However before you begin may I suggest you do some soul-searching as to why you "went off the plan". Sometimes people have unreasonable expections as to how their lives will change once they lose weight. Others have a tough time with all the attention they receive from the opposite sex and don't handle it well and unconsciously begin to put on their protective layers of fat to protect themselves. Whatever your reason may be try and be honest with yourself and love and forgive yourself enough to begin again. Also you might try not to think of this as a "diet" but as a way of life. I know even if I don't lose another pound (which I'm beginning to wonder during this loong stall) I do not intend to go back to mindless carb grazing as my health and well-being has improved so greatly. | I would say you should reinduct if you've been off-plan for 4 months, and then just take it from there. Going thru induction should help get rid of those sweet cravings, and help you to detox. The road to health and skinnyhood is a rocky one, and stumbling on the way is easy to do. You've come so far, and you know lc works for you, so give it another shot. We're all here to help. | Yep, it's back to induction for you. At least you're wiser this time about what it takes to succeed. Becki's point is a good one, think back to what got you started in the first place and find your motivation again. Then consider what got you off track and try to avoid getting into that situation again. Best of luck! |

| I agree. Induction to lose the cravings. Maybe get more creative with your foods so you wont feel the need to change back to the old way of eating. Lynn 6/6/03 163/153/145 38/33.12/39.5 5'8" |
