Yesterday I used a Keto Stick and it didn't turn pink/ purple. I worked out for alittle while and checked again and this time it turned light pink. Is that normal? Is working out a way to throw your body into Ketosis?

Yes, the keto sticks will show different colors depending on the time of day, how much water you have had to drink (that will dilute the ketones) or if you have been excersising. Don't get hung up on the sticks. They are good for every now and then to just be sure you are in ketosis but the better judge is to go by if you are losing weight, inches, etc.

Exercise can definitely make your ketostix darker. I usually get my darkest purples a few hours after exercising.

Many people try to gauge whether they're in ketosis or not based on breath or other things. I'm quite addicted to the sticks though. I've used them off and on for 25 years. They may give you false negatives but I don't know any way to get a false positive from them. There's a great deal of reassurance that comes from seeing the ketostix change color. It reaffirms that what you've been eating has been A-OK. Considering the time and effort we put into this way of life, it seems a reasonable investment.

Whenever I hear somebody is having trouble with a stall, the first thing I want to ask them is, are you in ketosis? There is no question that you can lose weight without ketosis, but ketosis makes it easier.
