Thanks Goddess. Glory, You Go Girl!!!!!!!!!! I am so happy for you. I kow how you must feel, I will be the same way when I see the 180's. I have never in my adult life been in the 100's so this journey is beautiful for me. Last week when I only lost 1lb you told me to stay strong and keep going and my body would adjust. In the past I would have given up with such a small lost and told myself that this lcing would not work for me anymore. But, I took your advice and I stuck to it and this morning I am down to 193.8. Its funny though because in the past I would be pratically killing myself in the gym and barely eating and now Im eating lc without really stressing it and moderately exercising like 1/2 hour walks, or playing with my kids and the weight is coming off again and I almost cant believe it. I had my family reunion yesterday and it was a ton of food there and I did not stray not even once and I ate lc and was happy about it and didnt feel deprived at all. I think I've finally got it.

KUTGW Newme!!!! I am glad you are sticking with it. It is amazing how effortless this WOE becomes once we adjust our thinking and concentrate on making good choices. I knew you would see success on the scale...a little patience was all it took! Hearing the successes of my fellow LC Divas keeps me motivated!

I did well this weekend and saw 178 maintained! My wardrobe is changing along with my weight. Yesterday I had a pair of long shorts that I bought in May before changing my eating to LC. They were snug when I bought them but I liked the color so I got them anyway. I wore them for the first time yesterday and they were BIG! What a blessing!!! When I get to the 160s they will need to be in the donation pile.

As far as sticking with plan, I did allow myself some margaritas on the Fourth of July. Other than that, I ate my usual. Anything not on plan didn't even tempt me. 178 kept me sticking with it. From experience I know it will probably be a week or so until I see more movement on the scale. No big deal, I am so enjoying how I feel right now! I sure wish I could remember my tickerfactory.com pin number so I could change my weight on the ticker. I guess I will just have to make a new one. Hopefully it will appear sometime today.

What about the rest of the LC Divas today? Give us an update!!!

Balance Re: LC Divas' Joyous July!

newme, that is EXACTLY what you do when the scale isn't doing what you want - ignore it and keep going! if i see one thing that knocks people off course consistently in my years being around this, it's letting themsevles get discouraged when the scale doesn't move downward linearly. but see, that's diet thinking.

the way you're approaching it - not stressing about it, just eating good foods, being active at a level you're comfortable with, and living your life...that is it! That's what you do to transition between being on a diet to living a healthy lifestyle. I love to hear people say stuff like that, because I know you're moving to a place where you won't have the struggle anymore.

We all know how to starve and exercise off fat. Who hasn't managed to do that, for a time, out of sheer willpower and frustration over their weight at some point? But what we want to learn is a way of eating and living that will leave us healthy and feeling good forever. That's so much easier.

Gloria - you're doing fabulous, too! It makes sense that sometimes, you'll have a little spirits or whatever. You know to avoid the scale for a bit thereafter and just keep on moving forward, so you're integrating it into your lifestyle. And isn't is SO much easier than you ever thought it could be before you got back in the groove?

It's not about deprivation!

Congrats on the progress, ladies. And thanks for sharing it here.

Thanks Goddess, You have always been my inspiration. I knew if I could just get a piece of the way you think I would be alright. I have finally made the switch from diet mode to lifestyle change and it feels great.

Thank you.

Thanks goddess!!! This time around it is a lifestyle and not a diet. I keep going back to the vegetarian thinking ~ For them, it is a lifestyle and not a diet. My wonderful niece is an inspiration to the whole thought process. Remember, if you always do what you have always done you will always get what you always got. Something had to change. Approaching LC as a lifestyle choice is less threatening that thinking of it as a diet. In my mind diet = depriving myself. I will no longer own that! I love being a LC Diva!!!

Study shows value of food diary in losing weight - Yahoo! News

Interesting article I found today. I keep an informal food diary in my planner. I write down what eat not necessarily the calories. Helps keep me on track. I think there is something to this. I know when I was a faithful WW, I lost when I tracked. Period! Anyone up for keeping a LC Diva's Delicious Diary? I am starting a thread in the challenge forum!

Blessings!!!

Hi all! I decided to add my picture to my avatar here and get real about the weight. I am happy to announce that I am in the 2's now weighing in at 299! I didn't post monday because I was stuck on 304 and was really hoping for better news. Scales are funny but I kept going!

Evie, that is awesome. Welcome to your new decade, you are doing beautifully. I am currently in the two weeks that I usually struggle with right before TOM. I am determined to press my way through it this time and not change my lifestyle just b/c my hormones hate me.

Have a great day all.

Okay, Ladies, I'm not feeling like a LC
Diva these days, but maybe in a few weeks I'll get that back. Technically, I'm still in the "Induction" phase (although I'm not following Atkins as strictly this time as I did before). Maybe when I have a whole month of faithful lc'ing under my belt (so to speak) I'll feel like a Diva again.

I love reading about your successes and motivation. I will stay tuned for more...

Thanks for the cheers Torri and Glory!

Glory, I am good with saying what I ate for the day. Did you start that thread or wanna do it here? Last night I had grilled chicken breasts with 6 shrimp and cheddar cheese for dinner.

Karen, it would be great to see your weight stats so we can cheer you along the way. I too am not following it to a T. I am kinda doing my own low carb thing which closely mirrors induction. A lot of eggs meat cheese, peppers and onion and a little whipping cream and slim fast low carb shakes is the sum of my plan. Don't forget lots of water and a good multi vitamin. Stay in touch!

PS I just want to shoot my scales some times! I have noticed that one morning it may say 299 and by the evening say 305! My scale is good and I can step on it 3 times in a row and get the same number. It is amazing how weight fluctuates and I am keeping my 299! Maybe today it will be there again.

Evie - I can see up to a 5 pound difference from the morning to the evening. I only count the first a.m. reading once I have used the facilities. Don't make yourself crazy with the scale. You are a success already and a beautiful LC Diva!!! I have started a thread in the Challenge forum. Keep posting darling! You look marvelous!

Karen - you are a LC Diva! You are here with us and making the journey. So grab your tiara and join in the fun!!!

I am all set to begin another glorious LC Diva day!!! This will be day 45! Let's KUTGW!!!!!!

Blessings to all!!!
