Hope you make the show, Glory. Is it one we'd know, or something more modern and unknown?

I've had guests this week--well, my kids have. Three of my four kids are at home, plus 3 kid/teen guests add up to four kids. It's been lively around here, and I haven't had much time for the computer.

However, I am happy to report that while serving kid-friendly food such as spaghetti, brownies, and sloppy-joes, I have been been subsisting on bunless cheeseburgers, one-minute muffins, and the occasional fried egg. I have sneaked a handful of peanuts here and there, but otherwise I've been a good low-carber. The scale isn't going anywhere right now, but that isn't my focus--staying on plan IS, and that's going well, so I'm feeling great.

Hope the rest of you are making July a month of success, however you define success.

The show is Gershwins' Crazy for You. Still haven't heard anything but I am keeping my fingers crossed. In Indianapolis there is a rich theater community so if I don't make this one there are plenty of other shows to audition for.

Today, I am exhausted. I mowed the yard last night. Eating has been sporadic. I am so off my usual schedule. DH is out of town and I just don't have the energy to fix a meal. I have not strayed from plan or snacked after 7pm but I haven't been eating as balanced as I would like. Today I did have some cottage cheese for bf and I brought salad for lunch with some cheesesticks since dd ate the tuna. Tonight I am meeting friends which means finding something on the menu. Probably a salad with grilled chicken. Safest bet, I think.

Karen ~ I have found there are times when you are doing everything right and the scale remains steady then one day you will see a 2-3 pound loss. It happens more often than not. I may see a 2-3 pound loss over a few days then nothing for a week. Nothing for a week also means NO GAIN!!! So stick with you lifestyle...slow and steady always wins the race!

Blessings to all for a lovely LC day!

Slow and steady is the only way I know how to make this work. I'm more concerned about my own commitment to seeing this through and sticking with the eating lifestyle that I know is best for than I am about the numbers right now. If I stick with it, the weight will come off. The time frame is less important than my overall commitment to a long life of eating low carb.

I would like to say as long as I am eating right I don't mind if the scale don't move, but I still am more motivated when I'm losing. I try to focus on the ultimate goal of being healthy.

I am happy to report that DH is finally home and life is getting back to a more normal schedule. I had a rough weekend. I experienced some gastro-intestinal issues so I am just getting back to a solid LC journey. I stuck with my plan. I just didn't eat much at all for a couple of days. Of course, my body is not sure what is going on so the scale is not doing much of anything. I am feeling better but bloated today. I will take care to sip my water and keep traveling the LC road. My tummy is still questionable.

Other than that I had a great weekend. I saw two shows. The Wiz and Once Upon this Island. Both well done productions. I volunteered at the box office for one show so I got to see it for free! Indy sure has lots of talent. BTW ~ I didn't make the show I auditioned for but I have auditions for another show next weekend...now I need to find a song.

I hope all you LC Divas have a spectacular day filled with blessings!!!

Hugs!

Hey GB, sorry to hear you haven't felt so good this weekend and that you didn't make the show. But there are always more and maybe this wasn't the one. Now that hubby is home things will at least feel better over all. Hubby's have a way of doin that.

Sorry about the show, Glory.

Evie, don't let those bounces cause you grief. What goes up, must come done--those aren't real weight gains as long as you are in ketosis, they are just normal variations in your weight. Hang in there!

My scale was down a pound today, so I'm counting it.

There is a reason for everything. I totally believe it is in God's hands and His plan is perfect for me. Whatever he has planned for me is even bigger and better!

Karen - I see that your numbers are getting smaller!

Evie - I flucuate all the time. It is the hormonal woman stuff most of the time. Just stick with it and the averages will go down. BTW did you have any issues with the storms last night? The wind knocked down our fence AGAIN! Tomorrow we will finally get the new fence we have needed since the tornado in May.

I am still not 100% tummywise. I just keep on track and I know that this to shall pass. DH made me lunch today so I am ready!

Blessings to all LC Divas!!! Make it a terrific Tuesday!

Hi everyone! Congrats for staying on track abnd keeping in touch. It really helps.

Glory, the storm was a bit scary for sure. I have a large tree right outside my bedroom window beside my bed and a medium tree out the window at the head of my bed. Both were really rocking but all was well!

Good morning your lovely LC Divas!!! I finally feel better!! Yipee!! Tummy problems can be so exhausting. They have gone and I am done another .5 lbs...every little bit counts. Slow and steady right?

I have been doing more research on high frutose corn syrup and I am now an avid label reader!!! The more I find out about this poison the more I am outraged that it is allowed in our food supply. I am so thankful that LC has lead me to a greater awareness of the things I eat. Making healthier choices does make a difference in the way I feel.

I hope that everyone has a wonderful LC Wednesday! Blessings to you all!!!

I'm with you, Glory. High fructose corn syrup=disease, obesity, and death. Yuck. Since I live where I live (Poland, actually), it's not as big of a problem. It's not in every food you pick up off the shelf.

Hope you all are just busy, and not hiding out somewhere eating cupcakes or cheese curls.

I haven't been on the scale for a few days, and hopped on this morning because it's not good for me to stay off of it long. Scale avaoidance (for me) is an indication that I haven't been eating right and don't want to face the music.

Just started TOM this morning, so I was shocked to see 220.8. My scale measures in even tenths. Less than a pound to go 'til my first mini-goal is reached. I'm pretty happy, because I'll probably reach it in a few days--I KNOW I'm retaining water.

I'm almost to that one-month marker, too, since I restarted, and I think that's going to give me mental boost--just knowing I stuck with it for one month.

Hope the weekend is looking good for you folks...

Karen

Its funny that you would say hiding out with cupcakes, I am making oatmeal cookies for my husband. I only make him things I don't like. I would sure like to make cupcakes!! The scale was good to me today, so I will stay on plan and make myself eggs and turkey sausage.

That's right--eggs and sawsage taste better than cookies, anyway. (Or so we must keep telling ourselves.)

I reached my first mini-goal today, so I'm a cheery little low-carb ninja.

Just keep hanging in there, one meal, one day at a time. I know that losing the weight isn't going to be an overnight thing, so let's celebrate the small successes along the way.

Congratulations Karen!!! You made your mini goal! KUPTGW!!! You truly are an inspiring LC Diva!!! You are so right when you say One Meal At A Time!!! What a great pay-off ~ 11 lbs GONE!!!

I have been busy cleaning out my new craft room and going to auditions. Weekends seem to fly by and come Monday morning I realize I didn't even check my email! I have been traveling down the LC road and enjoying all the garden fresh wonders we have an abundance of at this moment. Tons of cucumbers, still picking green beans and tomatoes are beginning to ripen...what a blessing! This is the best time of the year!

I am inching my way to the 20 lbs mark...I hope to be there by August 1...slow and steady right?

Love and blessings on this marvelous Monday to all!!!
