Wow, Glory--don't you love it when people really start to notice? That is such a boost. At my weight, I don't expect anyone to be able to see a difference until I get close to 30 pounds lost or so, but but I will get there. I've almost got the first month under my belt, and that is an accomplishment in itself.

Let me tell you--if I have as good success this time as before (I lost 70 pounds...), I am going to give a lot of credit to the OMM. It is so easy and quick to make, feels like a treat, and gives me such a break from egg-boredom.

I've made apple-cinnamon (used flavoring), orange poppyseed, chocolate, and just plain spice so far. I need to get some frozen blueberries so I can make blueberry lemon, too.

Hope you all are having a great week!

I love the OMM...I like it on the sweet side. You have given me some great ideas to try. I am getting a bit bored with just cinnamon. The orange poppy seed sounds delicious.

Life is good...Today I celebrate nine years with my DH!! I am truly blessed! I hope you all have a wonderful, blessed LC day!!!

Glory, happy anniversary! 9 years is a blessing!

BTW, if you girls are going to use frozen blueberries in the OMM, they cook better if you thaw the berries first. We keep a small container in the fridge. If you use the berries frozen, they tend to thaw inside the muffin, and makes it not cook as well. And even thawed, you might have to increase the cooking time a few seconds.

My favorite OMM is chocolate, just adding a spoonful of cocoa powder, and a tad more sweetener, and a touch of vanilla. Even better, soften a little cream cheese, sweeten and add vanilla, split the muffin and fill, put any remaining on top. Way too good to be legal! LOL!

I got to thinking about the OMM, wondering why I didn't know about it when I low-carbed and lost in 2003, and I realized--I didn't have a microwave then! We were living in a small flat, and I refused to give up one-third of my tiny counter to a microwave. We're in a house now, and we had to completely redo the kitchen (it was Stalin-era utilitarianism--if you can call a kitchen with no counters utilitarian).

Anyway, it's still a small kitchen, but we designed it so we could have a microwave over the stove. I'm so glad we have it--it's worth it just for the OMM.

July is nearly over--will there be a new "diva" thread for August?

Of course there will be a new thread! I can't believe this month is almost over...summer is flying by. I love enjoying all the fresh fruits and veggies!

I don't know if I'll reach my next mini-goal in August or not, but I do hope to successfully navigate a full second month of staying on track. I think if I do that, I'll feel very successful, no matter what the number on the scale may be at the time.

Just stick with it Karen! My loss has slowed, which is typical but slowly it will come off! Especially now that I am in the show and we will be dancing
