1st of all let me say that this site is awesome! So helpful and infomative. Nice to talk to others who have chosen to be healthy and low carb also.

Getting up at 5:30 and eating breakfast I have to take a snack to work. I can not make it until lunch time even though I drink a LOT of water during the morning. Breakfast is ham and eggs usually or a protien shake. Need ideas for snacks. Thanks for your help!

Dry roasted peanuts, pumpkin seeds (I like the flavored ones I can buy in bulk at the supermarket), raw almonds, beef jerky, and, of course, pork rinds. I also pre-cut cheese into 1 oz. cubes and have them sometimes.

Kellie's raw vegies with ranch are a favorite of mine.

Nuts (I count 'em, still, so I know an ounce is an ounce - LOL!).

Sometimes a Keto biscotti. (4 net) with a cup of coffee (w/cream).

Piece of cheese.

Homemade lc muffin with cr. cheese on it.

Lots of possibilities, depending on my mood.

One of my favorite snacks is ham wrapped asparagus with cream cheese. They make yummy little apetizers if you are hosting a party too!

Hard boiled eggs - I get up early too, so I really appreciate having these. Grab and go!

String cheese or my own cheese cut into 1 oz sizes

Pork rinds - the spicey ones!

Fresh cut veggies dipped in ranch salad dressing

Crys

Things I always keep at work:

Prewrapped, 1 ounce cheese sticks. Yes, they're a little more expensive than cutting up my own cheese, BUT they last a LONG time in our little office fridge!

Laughing Cow round 1 ounce cheeses. Ditto above.

A can or two of Vienna sausages.

A few Slim Jim Hot & Spicy beef sticks.

An Atkins shake or two in the fridge.

Each week I take either a bell pepper or a cucumber to work. I cut it into strips or rounds and eat it with some bottled Caesar dressing I keep in the fridge.

An Atkins Morning Start bar in Apple Crisp flavor. If I REALLY get the munchies I'll make a cup of decaf, add some cream, and have one of these little bars. Crispy and sweet and pretty tasty. I don't eat them often, maybe once every 2-3 weeks, so they don't stall me.

Pepperoni slices. I throw some into a sandwich bag and keep them in the fridge also.

A bag or two of Atkins Crunchers chips. Salty, crispy, yum! Again not something I eat often.

So, as you can see, a lot of my snacks depend on the fridge, but if you don't have one at work, invest in one of those little insulated lunch packs and a Blue Ice - they keep things nice and cold all day long!

It probably also shows that I like variety.....

I keep cans of green beans and wedges of laughing cow lite at the office--mix a drained can of beans and 1 wedge of cheese and microwave and you have cheesy beans that stick to your ribs--

Right now I am on a tuna fix. I keep cans of tuna at my desk and a container of Ranch dressing in the fridge.

Mix those two up for a twist on Tuna Salad. Suprisingly filling and satisfying, with protein to boot!

Our office keeps can openers on hand, you might have to keep one at your desk.

I also keep a 6-pack of sugar-free jello in the fridge. You could probably pack that in a cooler every day.

I bought a bag of Gen-Soy Soy Crisps. (kinda like flat little rice cakes.) 25 is a serving size. They are good with a cream cheese/green onion spread. IF I COULD snack at work, that's something I would bring with me. In fact, I think I will go make some creamcheese/olive spread (don't have any green onions on hand) right now and have a snack!!!!

My lunchtime ritual used to be a couple 8 ounce containers of cottage cheese with nuts and paprika sprinkled on top. I'd stash them in the office fridge as soon as I got to work. But if you eat them soon enough, you don't even need to do that.
