I feel so "doofy" Shrinkydink by telling the tall tale, that I lost 12 lbs in one day...sheeese....that WOULD be amazing, wouldn't it?

Anyway, I'm glad you pointed that out to me, cuz I went back and fixed it....

...and I want to thank you all for your encouraging words....

Terese......actually, my Dr. did not recommend it....but after going in to see her after having lost 8 lbs in two weeks, she was happy and told me to stay on it, and that she would moniter my progress once a month....

When she walked in to see me today, she had a big smile on her face, and both thumbs up, because my blood sugarlevel and blood pressure were both good.....and I am a diabetic who has had high blood pressure..

I will not weigh myself again, until I see her next month...I'm not going to be watching the scale every day, and getting upset if things don't move the way I think they should. I've had that happen to me in the past on various diets, and would get so discouraged that I'd start overeating again, canceling out any progress I'd made...

But now I have faith that if I follow the rules with this WOE, I should certainly show some loss in a month...that's the way I choose to do it...cuz that's what's gonna be best for me...

I'm going to try and post a picture of myself...(one that I had on the old forum)....it seems as tho that's more difficult to do here....but am gonna give it a try.

It worked! This is me summer of 2002 at about 265....so it's not actually a "before" picture, but the weight I hope to be by Halloween....and hopefully next summer I can post an "after" picture....

Great going Ginni!!

I think your success will cahnge the doctor's mind. My GYN said it was a great "diet" for me to be on. I have not checked in with my GD since I have been eating this way.

Congrats!!!

COngratulations, Ginny!!

My nurse practitioner was very happy with my blood tst results after 8 months on Atkins. Her only concern was that I am "drinking too much water" (a gallon a day, usually). Does anyone else get that concern?

Keep up the great work!
