I have been following the atkins plan since July and have more successful than on any other eating plan - 20 pounds. Last week we were on vacation and I fell off the wagon. Jumped off really, because I told myself I wasn't going to go crazy trying to do LC. I haven't weighed myself, but my clothes all fit the same. I think it has to do with all the walking we did and all the water we drank. My question is this: Do I need to go back to induction or can I pick up on OWL. ( I was at 30-35 carbs a day) I'm not feeling any cravings for "bad" foods. Actually, I'm almost relieved to be back to my normal way of eating. Thanks for the feedback.

Hooven99,

I do not have my Atkins book handy, but I am pretty sure I read that he recommends going back to induction for a while if you fall off the wagon just to get yourself back into a "fat burning" mode. Good luck!

Hi Hooven99!

You'll likely get mixed answers. If I were in your shoes, I'd return to your OWL plan. For me, this is my new normal way of life. With that in mind, just like any other aspect of my life that I've tried to change, I return to my "old" ways once in awhile while I'm working on making the change final. I have to watch the diet kind of thinking so that's why I don't go on and off of Induction. I'm not getting off of low carbing even though I have strayed for a meal here and there. (I still strive not to stray, but it does happen.) In general, I'm a low carber.
