I really do know how to spell September! LOL! I guess I got crazy when typing it yesterday. That's what I get for just doing a quick post and not checking...oh well!

My September is already spectacular! I went shopping to get some new pants. I hate shopping for pants but I really needed to find some that didn't sag in the tush. I have two words for the experience SIZE TWELVE! Whoot whoot!! My dd said that I looked skinny!!! Ahhh, success is sweet (and sugar free )

Well, here I am at work and I don't know where to begin...I better figure it out soon!

Blessings to all! Enjoy this terrific Tuesday!!

I have been committed to this plan for 93 days!!! Wow ~ that is over three months. I still find eating on plan to be so simple. Just make the choice and stick with it. I received a wonderful quote yesterday that sums up my attitude this time.

"Wherever you go, go with all your heart." ~ confucius

That is the ticket, isn't it? To be a success at anything, it takes a commitment of ALL your heart. It sounds so simple but it is a difficult lesson to learn. So I have a wish for all of you to go with all your heart and find success! Count your blessings because God is good indeed!

God bless!

Salad Re: LC Divas' Spectacular Septemeber!

Well September already. I can hardly believe the summer has just flew by. I didn't get half done what I wanted to do. I will have to make a concerted effort next spring. We had a major medical concern with my hubby in July, they had to take his prosthetic knee out due to staff infection. I am hoping they put it back soon as he is getting restless. He needs to go back to work. We both went on the low carb diet the same time, he has lost all his weight and i am still struggling. I guess I have all the time in the world and should not be so impatient. Everybody warned me guys lost weight more effectively then females. I finally got my vast collection of books, dvd's, tapes and records out of the dining room and into the media/ guest bedroom. That was a feat. Now I have to go thru the grandkids toys and get rid of the broken toys and the ones missing pieces. I'm a sentimental sap though and it is like i am trading in their childhood. Doesn't make sense to me either. Otherwise I just got back from my run and decided to check in. Everyone have a great day

Another lovely low carb day Divas!!! How goes it with everyone? I am just traveling on my journey and enjoying more than I ever had. Rehearsals for the musical are almost nightly which is great. I am getting more exercise than ever! Still holding steady. I forgot meds one day this week and saw the scale go crazy. I knew why and didn't fret. Things have now calmed down. You will know what I have been up to with my crafting adventures I am juggling a few things right now but it doesn't seem too hectic. I guess that is because I label my life as Full of Blessings. I am blessed to have opportunities to be creative in so many different areas. God is good indeed!

God bless!!

Red face Re: LC Divas' Spectacular Septemeber!

Hi everyone, it looks like another beautiful day. Yesterday I went for a 2 mile hike with my daughter and her family. I enjoyed it except the 60 steps going uphill on the last leg of the journey. I admired my son in law because he made it with a 27 pound baby girl on his back. I am such a wimp(LOL). Today i am going to try and get my run in but I may end up walking. I feel muscles i forgot i had(HAHA). I have gotten to the point where the way i used to eat is foreign. I never thought i would get to the point where a muffin is too sweet and hard to swallow, and a doughnut is just plain uneatable. I do have those things but it is as low carb as i can make them. My hubby has lost all of his weight, and i am struggling with at least 30 pounds. It doesn't seem fair.93 pounds is quite a feat glorybe. before you know it it'll be a year. I took a vacation from it and gained everything back and then some. But both DH and i went back on it in February and i am still struggling but i think if i stay with it i will at least lose inches. Especially since i have reestablished my running program. I can sure empathise with the fact you forgot your meds gb, especially if you have a busy schedule. I am also a crafter so am pleased to run across someone else that loves creating things. Hope everyone has a great day. Judy

Hi Judy and all Divas!!! I can't believe I haven't posted in over a week! Shame on me. That goes to show you how busy things have been. Rehearsals are nightly now but we do have tonight and tomorrow off to rest and recuperate. Sunday is "Long Sunday" which means we start at 1pm and go until we are finished. That could mean late into the night!!! We do all the tech and then run and rerun the show. It is a long excrutiating day but it pays off in the end. We start working with costumes too!

My etsy.com shop is going well. I have had some sales!!! It is so validating to have someone purchase something that you made by hand. I am going to be working on more goodies for my shop tonight and tomorrow.

Weight loss has stalled. I did expect it. Still marching down the low carb path. I don't mind maintaining where I am right now for a while. I do want to see my goal weight. Right now, though, I am at a place that I haven't visited in maybe forever it seems. I am in size twelve. That makes almost everything in my closet too big. I actually wore a shirt tucked in yesterday! There are times when I allow myself something I do not typically eat. Last night it was Subway. But the sandwich was accompanied by some fresh cut pineapple. If I do make a choice that is not strictly on plan, it is only one in a single day and I stay strick to plan for the remainder of the week. I am not going to beat myself up about it. Usually my detours are planned in advance. You know though sometimes life happens. You have to make the best of it. This morning was sausage for breakfast. Lunch is LC quiche. Dinner will most likely be salad with tuna. Some SF pudding for a snack. It is all about finding balance and living with the plan you are on. I still refuse to ingest HFCS!!! Big no-no!

So glad I checked in with you all. Blessings abound and God is good!

God bless!

Red face Re: LC Divas' Spectacular Septemeber!

Well i have been missing in action lately because they have piled on the work. When i get home I am exhausted. They added a high care client to my load and after getting her up and ready for the day, I feel i have already put in a days work. But it is still rewarding work. Otherwise nothing to report, my DH is still waiting for them to replace his knee, he still only has a spacer in. Of course he is unable to go to work which makes life interesting. Well this should be a test of faith. He makes more money then i do. Diet is going fine, DH lost all his weight i don't think it is in the cards for me. I haven't budged in over a month. Anyway just thought i would check in to see how everyone is doing. Talk to you soon. Judy

Good morning to all you divine divas!!!!

I, too, have been MIA this past week. Time is at a premium due to rehearsals for the show. It opens this Friday and that means longs nights this week in preparation. Plus, I have been in my craft room whenever possible and working on my Etsy shop.

As for LC ~ still talking the talk and walking the walk!! The scale has been at a standstill for a while now. I haven't passed the 169 mark yet...but it is coming. I have tweaked a bit and I am focusing on lots of veggies and protien. I am trying not to do the occassional lc wrap or small serving of potatoes. I have gotten back to my basics. I am feeling fabulous and just happy that I have maintained

Today marks 112 days back at the LC lifestyle!!! This weekend I saw some theater friends that haven't seen me since May right before I started living LC. I got such wonderful comments. Really helps with motivation! One of the fellows said, very loudly, "OMG You look amazing!" What a boost to the old ego!!

I have made some purchases in the clothes department recently and I am happy to say that size twelves are fitting better and better. I have also bought L instead of XL in tops! It is such a great feeling to finally feel good in my clothes. At the start, I used clothes to cover up my weight. Who was I fooling? No one but myself. Now, I tuck in my shirts, wear fitted tops and feel good showing off my melting figure! I have friends that exercise like mad and eat low fat and the scale hasn't moved. I hate to admit it but I really don't exercise all that much. I haven't change my routine at all. This is the easiest plan ever.

SO, I am still here ~ still LC ~ still posting!
I wish you all a marvelous Monday filled with blessings!!!

~gb

Well....I have finally moved off the 169 mark!!! I am now 167.5!!! I got back to the very basics and it is paying off! What a blessing! I am lovin' livin' the Low Carb life!!

It is funny because I hear the gals in the show complain about losing weight and how much they exercise. They ask me what I do and I say, " I stick with fish, chicken, etc and lots of veggies. Just eating healthy." Then they ask me how much I exercise and I tell them I really don't, just the dancing we do during the show." One gal said she spends an hour on the treadmill a day and the scale won't move. I told her to stop eating sugar for two weeks and see what happens. I doubt she will but I am glad I made this choice.

How about everyone else? How is your journey going???

God bless!

Coffee Re: LC Divas' Spectacular Septemeber!

Hello everyone, well i am finally getting used to my new schedule. I know i need to get back to exercising again, maybe i can re start since i am not so tired when i get home. Last week was the pits. I finally went thru my closet and have gotten rid of alot of clothes that don't fit me anymore. I'm hoping that if i exercise and do yoga, maybe i will at least lose some inches. The weight seems to have stopped for the time being. I have not had a carb creep or anything i guess maybe i am on a plateau. I've read about those things. Otherwise everything seems to be the same nothing to report. Hope everyone has a good week, Judy

WTG Judy! Isn't it wonderful to get the "fat"clothes out of your closet. I need to trim the "fat" in mine and soon! My fear is that I will have next to nothing to wear! I am looking into getting some of my pants taken in. It will be cheaper than buying new. I also am going to go on a Goodwill expedition when I get some free time.
