Hi, i know this topic has been talked about before.

I havn't been tracking my food, and have went over on legal carbs, and have even had an bannana split the other day thinking, "Well I should reinduct anyway".
I lost 8 lbs originally in induction, and then went through a stall and remained true to lcing,
until the last week and a half.

I havn't gained any lbs or in. since i deviated but I am sure that I am no longer in ketosis or losing as no lbs or inches have come off.

The question is do I reinduct? If so should I do a full 2 wks? I didn't want to confuse my body, I heard that if you reinduct too much that you will become resistant.

I am a little dissapointed in myself but for the first time in my years of dieting I am not beating myself up as I have decided to make this a wol and I don't make it a habit to have illegal items.

any help and advise is appreciated. thanks.

Hi, Dawn!

I think a short induction, just long enough to use up your glycogen stores (couple of days) might be helpful if you've gone way off track. I agree that, as a rule, it's not a good idea to continue to re-induct for all the reasons you mentioned, and a few you didn't. I think this is especially true for those of us who have "done dieting" in the past and (probably) done a real number on our metabolism.

This time, when you get back into ketosis, start to up your carbs slowly with good carbs, to find your CCLL. The more variety you introduce into your menus, the less likely you are to be tempted by foods you would not normally choose to eat.

Hang in there! You already have a good loss to be building on.

Maggie

thanks for the advice and encouragment. I don't think that I would've made it this far and kept trying if it weren't for everyone on this board.
I know I definatly killed my metabolism from the years of dieting. Thanks!
