For the last month or so I have been taking "Green Tea Pills". I really am growing to like tea but I still have a long way to go, so I brought some Green Tea pills. They are just Green Tea, nothing added. Now I can't say for sure but they really seem to work for me. My weightloss has been regular, and so have I (if ya know what I mean). I have read lost of good stuff about Green Tea, nothing bad (have you?). Anyway wanted to share. I welcome all opinions on this...thanks and God Bless.

If God is for me, who can be againist me?

Not sure about the pills, but I just read this article from a site someone else posted.

quote:
Green tea has fat-burning properties. This tea has been found to raise the metabolism, burning about 266 extra calories per day.

Green tea polyphenols are powerful antioxidants, even more powerful than vitamin C and Vitamin E, more powerful than that found in many fruits and vegetables. In fact, green tea itself contains vitamin C.

Green tea improves cholesterol levels. The tea polyphenols have been shown to inhibit the oxidation of LDL's.

I bought the pills and took them a couple of times. They REALLY made me move, so I quit taking them. I do drink 1 cup of green tea in the morning. It does not seem to work the same way as the pills .

A word of caution for some! Green tea can interfere with the bloods ability to clot.

Please get advice from your doctor regarding green tea OR the green tea supplement if you take blood thinner such as Coumadin or Plavix.
The same would apply if you have any type of problem with your blood clotting.

I second Kumus' caution if you have any reason to be concerned about clotting.

And Susan, Hartensia, interesting information about green tea pills. Will have to keep that in mind should the need arise, so to speak

Also, the question that comes to mind is "How many green tea pills, or how much green tea would one have to consume to increase metabolism by 266 calories?"

That said, I don't think there's any doubt that green tea has healthful properties. I'm very happy they seem to be working for you Hartensia, and it's certainly an interesting topic. Keep us posted, ok?
