| I've been on the atkins woe for about 8 months.I went to the Dr. last wk. I had blood drawn to check my cholesterol. MY total was 215 normal is 200. The Dr. said this is a little high.Unfortunetly I didn't have it checked at the start of this woe, is it possible that it was higher at the start and has gone done to this level in the last 8 months.Rudy |

| Rudy~ That 215 number all by itself really doesn't tell you much. The more important numbers are your HDL level, your triglycerides, and your risk ratio. If you can get that info from your doc, folks here may be able to give you some meaningful input. | Ditto Sky's comments. See if you can get your: HDL, LDL and Triglycerides. They tell a universe more than the total cholesterol number. The ratio of HDL to Total Cholesterol and the Triglyceride numbers tell the real story! Maggie 5'1" ~~ Atkins since '98 (160)/Maintaining nicely (110) ~~ Redhead until further notice! |
