Well, it's back to induction for me. I have allowed myself to slip just a little here and there until finally this weekend I just let it all go and ate what I wanted....carbs and sugar. So I have decided I need to induct again at least until I can get this under control again. Wish me luck!

Good luck Shawny. A fresh start may be what you need to get your mind set off of your seeing your slipping as failing. You can do this!!

Shawny--i am doing the same thing--both my DH & DFIL were in the hospital yesterday and I ate way too many sf candies--induction seems like the right thing to do--good luck to you!

As I see it, for those that understand LC eating is their way of eating and also understand that we can get off track...

Re-induction is nothing more than re-affirmation.

I think it is a great thing to do when we get off-center of our prefered eating habits so go for it.

HANG IN THERE!!!

Great point, Don! And, I think we all need that every once in a while to absolve our binges. For some reason, it's representative of a "cleansing."

Shawny

I know it's easy to drift toward the edge of this woe and then fall off. Reinduction is a good choice IMHO. I often go back down to 25 net carbs when I've been eating too much off plan. I generally do it for 3 days though. How long is up to how you feel about it.
Good luck

Grabbing hold of yourself and doing what you need to do is definitely the right thing - slip-sliding over the edge of the abyss and continuing to let yourself free-fall is the thing to avoid!

So good luck, and good going - congrats on recognizing the problem AND the solution!

Me, too. I've just come back from a long vacation, and on the trip home, I "lost it" with a basket of deep-fried onions. I almost made myself sick! Yuck.

I reminded myself, however, that I'm a low-carb lifer. Just getting back up on the horse and riding on!

P. S. It was GREAT to come back from vacation without the usual 5-lb. weight gain. And low-carb is a really simple way to eat, if you want to take a vacation from meal planning, too.

Thank you all for all the encouragement instead of pointing out my downfalls. I really needed it and I feel better now. Also, thanks for reminding me that this is for life and once in a while I probably will mess up, but I can always cleanse myself again. Thank you all!!

I'm so glad I came here to confess!

Me too... I've got to go back to Induction to get it all under control again. It started in the last week, too much stress and I don't seem to be able to stop it.

It is so helpful to read all the responses and to know there are others who understand what I am going thru and have real life suggestions.
