Hello fellow lc dieters:

Anyone out there familiar with Kirsten's Low Carb Cafe in Las Vegas? I've been tempted to try some of their meals which all claim to be 10 carbs or less. Anyone tried it?

I heard the bagelwich sandwiches are to die for as well as the shakes. Can we really trust that the carb count is true?

I would ask them to give you a menu, or maybe they have a menu on-line. That might give you an idea if their items are truly low-carb. I would also ask what ingredients are used in their breads.

Next time I'm in Las Vegas, I'll have to check it out!

i LIVE IN VEGAS AND HAVE TRIED KRISTENS LO CARB SHAKES AND THEY ARE AWESOME!
I HAVN'T TRIED ANYTHING ELSE YET. SOMEDAY I WOULD LIKE TO TRY THEIR BAGELWICHES.
I THINK THAT THEIR CARB COUNT IS PRETTY TRUE TO THEIR CLAIM.(THEY SAY THE CARB COUNTS ARE APPROXIMATE THOUGH)
THEY HAVE BEEN AROUND A FEW YEARS WITH MORE AND MORE LOCATIONS OPENING UP(NONE CLOSE ENOUGH TO ME TO VISIT VERY OFTEN)
I KNOW THAT THEY USE THE LC BREADS AND THE SF DAVINCI SYRUPS.
I TALKED TO A COUPLE OF PEOPLE WHEN I VISITED LAST AND THEY HAD NOTHING BUT GOOD THINGS TO SAY ABOUT THE FOOD AND THEIR RESULTS.

I HAVE A MENU BUT IT ONLY SHOWS ITEM, PRICE, AND CARB COUNT.
THE SHAKES RUN AROUND 4 CARBS, WHILE THE BAGELWHICHS RUN AROUND 9 CARBS.I DIDN'T SEE THAT THEY HAVE A WEBSITE BUT THEY ARE LOCATED INSIDE OF BETTER NUTRITION HEALTH STORES SO MAYBEY THEY HAVE A WEBSITE WITH SOME INFO FOR YOU TO CHECK OUT.

And I'm gonna make it this time!

I indulged in the shakes fairly frequently when they first opened but then they changed the sweetener. It must be a sugar alcohol now because the last two times I had them I had terrible abdominal distress. My 13 year old son had the same reaction. I haven't had one for a couple of months now so maybe they went back to the original formula.

Dawn, did the shakes give you any problems? How long has it been since you had one? Hopefully, they did go back to the original.

I have eaten several meals in there and everything is great. I think they underestimate carb counts because the chips they serve with sandwiches are 8 net grams alone. As long as you're on OWL though, the carbs are definitely worth it. Nice people working there too.

it's been about a month since I had one of their shakes, I didn't think about it til about now that yes, I think I had some mild distress.
It tasted so good that I didn't think about the other. I will have to try another one and really pay attention this time.
