Who else has seen this? It is sold in half-gallons in the dairy case at our SuperWalmart. It comes in chocolate or regular, and is 3 or so net carbs per cup. It tastes more like milk than soy milk, though not totaly real.

My wife loves the regular on her Fiber One, and we both dig a big glass of the chocolate with breakfast. The price was reasonable, for a half gallon ($2.50).

I can hardly wait to take some of it, some chocolate Bryers and make a REAL chocolate shake!

We don't have one around as far as I know. Nearest one being in Vegas about 4 hours away.

I sure hope they're coming to my area soon!

THis sounds an awful lot like the Le Carb dairy drink. This has even fewer carbs. Of course I haven't found either out here in CA Oh well, one of these days.

I suspect this would be good as a lactose free milk type product for the lactose intolerant among us.

BTW... the carton even has little "Atkin's approved" emblems on them... if that means anything to anyone...

Well, it means something to me...

Of course, Atkins not only endorses, but actually makes those snack bars with all the sugar alcohols that everyone says are so evil, so I'm not sure how much the Atkin's endorsement actually means.

Man, I can't believe I am dumping on the folks behind my own WOE plan.

The good doctor is dead and the clinic is closed. Atkins Nutritionals didn't develop our way of eating, Robert Atkins did. On the other hand, all those products that will persuade many who try them that this way of eating is bogus have actually paid for the initial reasearch projects that caused more researchers to become interested in the theories underlying this WOE.

All I can say is:

Marcie, I have a Super Walmarts near by and they do not sell any low carb products that the other stores seem too. We have a Big Bear (probably only in OH) and the manager told me they were going to be getting more low carb items in, but it has not happened yet . I keep waiting.

quote:
. I keep waiting

I know the feeling. The Walmart around here may have a few LC dry goods, but they don't carry a full range of grocery items (no refrigerated or freezer sections). So, I'm waiting in California, too.

Teelbee, I think you get the stuff before we do down here in the Monterey Bay area - and my closest WalMart is in Salinas, and it's NOT a Super WalMart - my one foray into it convinced me I didn't need a repeat visit any time soon.

We DO have Trader Joe's and Whole Foods though so I s'pose I shouldn't complain TOO loudly. I finally had to order the Westsoy Soy Slender online though, everyone else seems to be able to find it at Albertson's but not at the 3 near me!

End of the line, I tell ya, we're at the end of the line.....
