OK, LC Gurus and Veterans out there...

I haven't eaten well for 3 days due to some stress in my life. By not eating well, I mean mostly water (tons), decaf, and salad, a hard-boiled egg here and there. I was previously at about 35g carbs per day and I have obviously been consuming well under induction levels the past few days. The question is...should I take my carb level back up slowly, as if going from induction to OWL, or do you think I can go back to previous levels without gaining? Not that I think I can...still not extremely hungry. (Funny...before LC, stress made me pig out!)

Hi Tara!

Well, here's my 2 cents. About a month ago, I had oral surgery and as a result, I didn't eat much for about a week. I steadily ate more over the next 3-4 days and went back to the same mix of calories and carbs without gaining. I'm sure everyone is different, but my experience was no ill effects.

I am the same way now, when I am stressed, I prefer not to eat. Where as before I would eat everything in the house. I would say to make yourself eat more salads and veggies each day until you feel you can eat again. Oh and your status changed when you had over 50 posts I think

Hi Tara,

I have just recently got an ear infection and it also made me not eating too well.

I think for a few days i have been eating less than 10g carb daily...i wasn't hungry and i didn't feel like eating at all.

So this week i've been experimenting with varied amount of carbs daily (between 20g - 35g). I want to keep my body guessing so it won't adept to a certain amount of carbs easily. Seems to be going well for me...
