My coworkers are now calling me Skinny. The funniest is my SIL's mother, she has altizer (sp?) disease and when she saw me the other day she said I have loss a lot of weight. Now when someone who has a memory disability notices you have loss weight, you have really loss weight .

This should be an interesting topic of conversation .

I was standing there visiting with a friend I hadn't seen in several months and after a few minutes of chatting she blurted out, "WHAT HAPPENED to you?". I was somewhat taken aback because I couldn't figure out what she was talking about. She studied me real hard and asked, "Did you change your hair?". No. "Did you get a face lift?". I laughed. She then said, "I don't know WHAT you did but you look ten years younger!". I'm still smiling.

Believe me, after working with a group of folks for as many years as I have, and you lose 62 pounds, people notice! I get lots and lots of comments.

One of my co-workers introduced me at a meeting the other day as "The Incredible Shrinking Man". I was walking the pups the other day, and a foxy neighbor lady working in her yard hollered at me and said she saw me coming out of Kroger and had to do a double-take... RRRoooowwwlll (dodges a smack sure to come from DW). It goes on. It does feel pretty good after so many years of fretting about my appearance.

I'm going back to Kansas in a couple of weeks on business (most of my family and old school friends are there) and it will be interesting to see what is said there.

This from a parishioner with whom I was having lunch to get acquainted. When I told him how long I had been married, he looked stunned and said, "You are older than you look!" It's a backhanded compliment, I know, but it really made me laugh. I'll be 60 next month, and I WORK at looking younger!

My DH compliments me almost every day! He is wonderful.

Last week I saw the dentist for a 6month checkup. The women in the office all told me that I looked absolutely wonderful!

30 lbs. shows! Yay!

My co-workers keep telling me I'm getting too skinny(soooo untrue);of course the favorite pastime @ work is eating! My husband is so full of ---praise(lol). He keeps telling how proud he is of me & how great I look.

here's mine. a male co worker of mine asked me why i wasn't having a piece of cake & while i was stumbling for an answer he asked "what that diet of yours?" i said yes. he asked me how much weight i wanted to lose & i told him about 30 more lbs & with that he exclaimed, " WHAT? YOU AINT BIG!" i thought it was funny. so it made me feel like maybe people don't see me as big as i think i look.
of course my husband has also been making comments about my butt getting smaller.

I reported this before; but, heck - it still gives me a warm feeling and it fits this thread!

A about 2 months ago, I had a doctor appointment and told him I'd lost 30 lbs since January on a low carb diet. He looked at me and said, "I am so proud of you."

Tonight when DH came home from work, he gave me a hug and said, "There's almost nothin' left of you, ribby." He could feel my ribs. LOL! That was a pretty good boost for me.

Cheers!

My 11-year-old daughter "measures" my weight loss by where her arms cross over when she hugs me. While hugging me this weekend she said, "Mom, you're skinny! I can touch my elbows now!" While I am far from skinny, it sure made me feel wonderful.
