Great post Michelle! I can relate that my previous way of eating was slowly killing me. I would have a bagel w/butter & peanut butter & jelly every day. Lunch would be a sub or something of the sort w/chips and soda. Would be hungry by mid afternoon, have a large cookie from the bagel shop next door. Have dinner, meat, veggie and a starch. Hungry after kids go to bed, have a big bowl of ice cream w/chocolate syrup. Not to mention the picking I would do on available candy etc. at any other point of the day. Ughhh!

I do feel so much better on this way of eating.

EXACTLY! It kills me that nobody bothered to get on my case when I was eating literally TONS of sugar and fat and processed foods. No... they have to tell me I'm doing it wrong when I live on fresh veggies, salads, fresh fish etc? Hello???????????
I sure appreciate the support found here. I guess nobody understands LCWOE unless you're a Low Carber yourself.

It's kind of like how nobody cares if you ever go to church -- until you go to the WRONG church.

Great post, Michelle. And fun to read all the responses.

I'm glad to say that several family members-- including my dad at age 85--hopped on Atkins after they saw my results. We've all done well. However, I'm careful not to discuss my WOE with my friends. Diet talk of any kind is usually boring, and I'm sorry your friend felt compelled to rant at you.
