I'm nearly falling out of my chair from laughter - too bad I can't share it with my WW-loving coworkers.

Hey...I can buy some pretty good New York Strip Steaks and Lobster for that $40.00 per month that WW members pay.

Please, oh please tell me that Fluffy Mackeral pudding is a joke... Right? RIGHT?!?

That is just wrong!

I scanned a few of the other cards. This really scares me. I may not sleep well tonight.

You want to get even more scared, Jim?

Somebody, somewhere, was sitting around trying to think of good recipes for Weight Watchers, thought up fluffy you-know-what, decided that it sounded good, and somebody else agreed.

And, they recommended it to people!!!

AND THEY ATE IT!!!!

Good grief.

I'll have you know that I am a life time member of Weight Watchers! Nine times!!! Yup, I have nine gold keys from all over the country! And (no surprise here I know), I've never been more satisfied on a way of eating and a way of life than I have been since I started low carbing. Also, I have now lost more weight on lc than I EVER did with WW

Temporary weight loss?

Hmm. I've been low carbing for over 5 years now and have kept off the 150+ pounds I've lost, thank you.

April,

I'm sorry to break it to you, but that was all water weight.

Jim, that is too funny!!

I never had the Fluffy pudding, but I have a WW cookbook with some really weird recipes in it. Of course one of my coworkers remarked today that mashed cauliflower sounded really gross. I guess it is all in your perspective of life .

Dr. I when I watch that commercial, I always wonder how someone can stop at just ONE cookie. I can't!!

I'm also an old WW veteran. I think this is interesting because the WW program when I first joined in the mid-1980s was fairly low carb. We got 8-10 meat portions a day vs 3 bread and fruit portions (and the bread and fruit portions were tiny! a half slice of bread, for example).

Susan, it is IMPOSSIBLE to eat just one cookie. When I'm faced with junk like that, I always think to myself "One is too many because a thousand's not enough!"

Well, since everyone seems to agree that WW used to be fairly low carb. It might be interesting if someone did a study on the relative success rates then vs now.

Actually, I briefly saw Sarah Feruguson on Larry King the other day and they were flapping their lips about Weight Watchers, and Fergie was talking about how low carb high protein meals were terrible for you and that weight watchers is better, yadda yadda. I was getting so angry I had to change the channel. She was blathering on about how its all water weight on low carb, I guess I had 80 pounds of water to lose. Blah.

Interestingly, has anyone seen the recent LA Weight Loss commercials with what's her face from the View.....Joan Behar something or other. It never ceases to amaze me. She was cheering because she lost 23 pounds in 11 weeks. I've got news for her, I participated in LA weight loss many years ago, they start you out with low carb and then increase your carbs a little as you go. Hmmmm, why pay when you can buy a book and do it for free in your own home and lose the weight easier and faster than 23 miserable pounds in 11 weeks? Sheesh.
