Hey there,
Standing at a tall 5'1" here. I say the same thing "if I were only 6', I'd be outstanding!!" But, I'm not...so, I must deal with what I've got..which is my health and hey, i'm not bad looking either. So I have alot going for me. I have been at a stalll for a while now..increased my worout and water, but still not working..Trudging onward.....
Quick question for the experts....I'm going on a cruise in less than a month and love all the fruits the Carribean has to offer, any suggestions on the fruits to stick with but still feel satisfied? Thaks

Redell,
Congrats to you!!! You must feel so wonderful. I am inspired. Do you have web site? I would love to read your story of weightloss. I am one of those shorties tha is lucky enought to "hold" my weight well. When I delivered my son in May I was at 200 lbs. and my doctor said the scale must be wrong, but it wasn't. Friends are always amazed at how much I weigh too. I tell tham that By US standards,I am considered obese for my height and they just laugh at me. I have to get over the pounds thing and pay attention to how I feel instead. I too kept thinking that I am medium boned person, but no longer, I am definately small boned (there just hiding under my fat( lol) how long have you kept the weight off and is it easier to maintain once your there??? Inquiring minds want to know?????

hi, this is my first post so bear with me; I'm not real savvy with the computer. I'm 5'1",small boned(I think, lol). I'm turning 40(there I said it) in 2 mos.I've battled my weight most of my adult life.Done WW too many times to count-most of the time I did reach goal only to put the weight right back on & more.I've been doing Atkins since 8-8-03;I was squeezing into a 12P; I'm presently comfortable in most 8's.I have lost 17 lbs.I did induction for 4 wks;now I've added more legal veggies & occasional lc russel stovers candy(gotta love that stuff) I've been stalled for 3 wks and I'm VERY discouraged! I do not cheat! I walk 2-3 miles per day, drink the water, yada, yada. I know the book talks about stalls, but I'm losing motivation. I did not take measurements in the begining, so I dont really know about inches. I do feel much better. Should I go back to induction to get past this stall?, or wait it out, or does this mean I cant go above 20 carbs to keep the weight off? I would appreciate the advice.
By the way, I love this woe. It's been so much more restaurant-friendly than WW ever thought about!

I think you should wait, Deb T. Your body has to adjust or we would be thin flabby people with hanging skin. I have lost 9 lbs since sept 4th and I am not giving up! You never mentioned how often your occasional treat of LC russel stover's are. Maybe that is what is stalling you. I would cut those out a bit and see what happens. Supposing you are doing everything correctly, that could be the case. Maybe you can post some menus, someone may see something we cannot. Good luck and best wishes!

Steph-
Thanks for your reply. Just letting you know I
did cut out the russel stovers treats( I was eating one a day) & I cut the Atkins Advantage
shakes (I was drinking one for breakfast about every other day) The scale finally dropped one pound yesterday. I guess its baby steps to my goal now. Thanks again!
