Sorry.. I just had to toot my own horn here because I am doing the Snoopy dance today.
Ok... there was a threat recently about people dropping sizes and stuff. So here is the Reader's Digest condensed version of my story...
When I started Atkins 6 weeks ago I could not fit into my size 18 jeans. No way. No how. I knew that I would have to go buy a size 20 and I was devastated. (I remember when I vowed I'd never exceed a size 14 under any circumstances years ago).
Well.... I packed away the jeans and started Atkins and lived in my scrubs and sweats.

This morning... just for fun I grabbed a pair of jeans -- these happened to be size 16 which I haven't worn for --uh -- ahem -- well -- probably 3 years.
Guess what?? THEY SLIPPED ON EASILY!!!!!!!!

I almost cried!!!

I sit here writing this now and the tears are brimming! I am sooooo thrilled!! This WOE is WORKING! YES! Hallelujah!!!

I am going to Taco Bell for lunch w/ a friend though and I gotta figure out (and quick) what I can eat there!! Any suggestions???

CONGRATULATIONS!!!! As a former size 18-20 I know what you mean. Now as a size 12 I can't wait to try on a 10.

When I go to Taco Bell I usually order 3 hard tacos - no shell. Some times they give me 3 little trays of meat and cheese and sometimes they put in all in one bowl. My experience has been that you actually get more of the good stuff this way! I don't know a carb count - but for Taco Bell it's probably the best you can do!

Congratulations!

Quick question which may get lost in this thread, but... has anyone tried CarbSense Roasted Hazelnut hot cereal? It sounds good.... haven't tried it yet.

Don't know if you're sensitive to what's in Taco Bell's meat.. If you're not, order a taco salad, no shell, no beans.. If you are, there's something in their meat that may cause you to balloon up overnight.. I ate there *once*, and put on 6lbs literally overnight, that took me almost 10 days to lose again.

No more Taco Bell for me.

I have no problem with their meat. I appreciate your suggestion.
I had a nice "bowl" of meat, cheese and lettuce. It was yummy!

Oh, I love to hear that horn tootin'! That is terrific - going from a size 20 to 16s in a matter of weeks!

quote:
CarbSense Roasted Hazelnut hot cereal?

why, yes! By coincidence, a friend gave me a box about two weeks ago. I had it as hot cereal one day, and made it into a blueberry pancake another day. I liked the pancake quite a lot, but that might have been because the blueberries were so tasty.

I added some vanilla da vinci syrup (hazelnut would be even better, but I'm out of that flavor). It was better than okay, but it is very, very high in fiber from bran. So, it's probably a good idea to drink a fair amount of water with the meal.
