I've been doing the interval routine with cardio on Treadmill as suggested by the Kate Street. I usally do 5 peaks on the days I'm doing weights and 7 or 8 peaks on the days of Cardio only. I go 6.6 for two minutes an 9.0 for 35 seconds.

Since I've been doing that I've noticed that I'm allot more tired and have less energy on to lift weights even after I take a day off. I usally can only get three sets in now on the weights because I'm tired. Do I need to eat diffrently or change the workout. I don't want to stop doing the interval cardio because I have noticed my stomach getting flatter since I started doing the intervals.

I also posted this on the two exercise forums a few days ago, but I don't think those are very popular yet.

murray,

it sounds to me like you're going to need to up your food intake! I don't know your stats, but you probably need in the neighborhood of 2000 Cal a day if you're on a vigorous exercise program. Also, 5-6 meals a day is the best way to go. HIIT training is great bang for the buck on cardio!

Read up on the BFFM I sent you last week!!

HIIT is exactly what you're doing. High Intensity Interval Training. I wanted to reinforce Kate Street's (and others) idea that the boost interval training gives your metabolism is higher and lasts longer than the boost from more typical cardio exercises. That part of your program is excellent, now you just need to adjust the nutritional portion of your program so you'll have sufficient energy to work out at the level you want to.
