Ahhh, you guys all make me blush. Thanks for all the nice comments. In reality though, it's the support and positive encouragement that I have received from all my friends on this board that have helped me get to this place. I hope that my experience and my posts can in turn help someone else.

    Good job Judy!

I've been doing this for a year and a half, but well over 100 lbs later it's worth it.

    Judy,
Congrats on one year! It is amazing how fast the time flies when you get going. There is no doubt that being thin and healthy will be a lifetime of work, but what a gift to ourselves. You have done a great job!

Yes, Judy, thanks for sharing your story. You have done such a great job!

I, too, recently reached the one-year mark with lc and I can attest to the fact that it gets easier as time goes by. It's not a diet, but the way I eat now. The improvements in my life far outweigh any difficulties. And, any negative comments by nay-sayers just fall on deaf ears; I KNOW this works.

    Trina,
My husband made a similar comment about the way I eat to his parents. He also said that I had been doing it so long that it was habit, not even conscious thought any more. --- Not totally true, but close.
