Holy mackerel! I just saw an ad for Atkins products on TV. Any one else see it? Started off eith some commentary about how much sugar the average American eats, then asks if you are ready to join the new diet revolution. Pretty cool!

I especially like the one where a guy puts money in a vending machine, and sugar pours out all over his feet!

A new print ad I've seen (on the back cover of TV Guide) says, "There's nothing to eat on Atkins except..." and shows, along with Atkins products, things like blueberries, asparagus, artichokes, etc.
Hopefully, more people will "get it".

Just saw a KFC commercial...saying a piece of there chicken is 11 carbs and 45 protein...WOOHOO we're getting there everyone! Slowly but surely people are starting to notice us and make things work for them...and us too.although I dont think I wanna waste 11 carbs on one pice of KFC chicken when I can make it at home for a bunch less Im sure...LOL
But nice to know its there and restarants and stores are starting to come around.....
Our WalMart has added a WHOLE section of LC stuff..pretty nice!!! and MUCH cheaper than GNC

I saw the Atkins commercial last night as I was picking my kids up from their father's house. I was quite amazed, and looked at my ex and told him,"see, it IS catching on!" Pretty kewl if you ask me!!!

Why did KFC had to bread their new 11 g of carb per piece chicken? I still don't understand that one.

I've seen the Atkins commercials. I have also seen the add on the back of at least 3 of my magazines over the last couple of months. There is also a chain of stores here called "The Low Carb Store" I see several commercials a day about them. It is catching on. Soon maybe even the nutritionist at work my stop harrassing me on my "unhealthy" life style

I just saw the commercial on CNN. Great! I especially love the "birthday cake" made up of a big pile of sugar (looks like sand, at first glance) with candles in it. When she blows out the candles, the sugar goes all over the place. LOL

This weekend in the Sunday paper the comic Cathy was all about low carb eating. She wanted a snack from someone at work and all these people were doing the LC thing and they kept offering her different meats for a snack..

I posted about the comic in the Everything Else forum. I usually like Cathy, but I felt this was just another blast at low carb eating. If they had not said the veggies were off-limits it would have been funnier.

Maybe I am losing my sense-of-humor.
