With 2 young children my DH and I have been having trouble getting our walks/exercise in because we always want to walk together and my youngest just can't keep up and won't do a stroller thing, SO last week I ordered a Gazelle Freestyle Elite Glider from Fitness Quest. Yes it's the one on TV with the wacky guy with way too long kinky hair (lol) but anyway it was delivered, I put it together and absolutely LOVE the thing. At their website (www.fitnessquest.com) the machine can be bought for just over $400. They will ship it and let you try it for 60 days for only $15 then bill you at $50 a month for 8 months. Since I live about 50 miles from St. Louis and we just don't have any gyms here, I thought it was a great investment for us and it's getting lots of use. Will keep you all posted on my results!

Isn't it that Tony Little? What's up with that guy? He's scary! Too many 'roids?

Keep us posted on how you like the glider in the long run. Always interested to hear good exercise ideas; I'm too far from a city to join a health club, too.

Yep, that's the guy and yes he is quite scary but I had heard how good the machine was so finally got the nerve to order one and despite the way Tony Little is, the machine is great.

I hopped on one of those at Sears yesterday but it's not for me - I suffer from a chronic SI joint strain and it seemed to want to aggravate it. I also tried an elliptical or two - there's a huge difference in the brands as far as how much distance there is BETWEEN the pedals (across the middle) - the further the distance, the more it bothered my hip.

Anyway DH went there to look at the Weider Crossbow, and he liked what he saw, PLUS it was on sale, so I ordered one when we got home from Sears' website - we'll get home delivery that way. Now I can't wait to get it and try it out!

Good going on buying something that you like and will use - I think that's a major coup!

And yep, watching that Tony is kinda scary! I can only take about 3 minutes of him....

Yay for working out at home! I have a treadmill in my living room that I like to get on while I'm watching TV. Whenever I'm watching my shows and get a craving for something bad, I think to myself "Instead, I could be walking or jogging the pounds off."

And I'm gonna make it this time!
