Hi everyone! I just needed to come and get some encouragement. I feel a little off and I'm not sure why. I am doing so good, and I'm really proud of myself. This is the first time I've never cheated. I thinks it's because I know that this is my new WOL,and not another diet.

Anyway, I don't feel as jazzed. I am scared to death that I will slip and cheat. Unfortunately I am one of those girls who if they slip they fall all the way off and then some. I'm thinking it(my sluggy feeling) may be because I have had zero time to exercise. I do about 5 minutes worth before bed, but nothing aerobic since last Tuesday. Has anyone else every found that this made a difference??

I've finally gotten to where people are noticing the loss, and that's such a great feeling. But most of all this is the best I have felt about myself since I don't know when. I don't want to loose my excitement... in the past that means failure.... Any suggestions would be very welcomed.

Can you be a little more specific in describing your "little off" feelings? Are you adding more veggies to your menu? You might be needing more healthy carbs. Have you added nuts? Have you added more allowed fruits? like strawberries, blueberries, cantaloupe? You just might have very low blood sugar levels. Adding some of those things might help.

JustTheThing,

I know that when I exercise I definitely feel better, see better results on the scale, and in general just have a better attitude. I haven't really been able to fit it in much lately either. Trying to figure that one out.

BTW, I started a PT (private topic) with you a bit ago. You might want to check it out. Just go to the 'My Space' tab at the top and then click on 'Private Topics'. Perhaps having a "buddy" will help keep you on the 'straight and narrow' and keep you energized/excited. For me, it's a little different than checking in on the regular boards (which are very helpful).

Good for you for coming here and doing a post about it! That means you're seriuos about it all this time.

Barb- The sluggy feeling is a little hard to describe.. I guess more low energy than anything. Fruits and veggies are plenty. I absolutely love them. Even before I started this WOE I would have meals with only veggies. I drink plenty of water.... and take vitamins...
I have had some nuts but not much.... I never was a big nut eater.... but I do occassionally like to snack on some. I'm at about 25-30 carbs a day right now.....

Just The Thing,

I know exactly how you feel. I hadn't been able to exercise for about a week and a half due to different reasons and it certainly has effected me greatly. Less energy, frustration and all that stuff. I'm getting better again since I've been able to exercise again. Not quite there yet, but I'm starting to feel better again.

I think you will find a big difference in how you feel, once you get your bod moving again.

Never give up! Never surrender!

Speaking of exercising.... does anybody know anything about treadmills?

I have a really nice one but my ex-H wants it (though he gave it to me for a Christmas gift so I can keep it if I want) anyhoooo he says he cannot find one with the features of mine for under $2000. He wants to buy mine from me for $500.

I am thinking I could not get a decent treadmill for only $500 but I don't know the market at all so any thoughts?? I like to just vary my speed and incline -- nothing fancy. (that is why he wants it -- because it has all kinds of pre-programmed stuff)

Just, I felt lousy the first three weeks, all of which I was doing induction. When I added more veggies and nuts and stuff, I started feeling better. Part of that is a detoxifying process your body is going through. I noticed you are into this for about 4 weeks+. You should start feeling better unless you've had a cheat here and there. Lots of people get "hangovery" after a cheat. Can't remember if you've stayed on the straight and narrow. Also, B-complex REALLY helps me a lot on top of my regular vitamins. The B-12 in it gives me an energy boost and I find that I sleep much sounder when I have taken it. You might consider adding the B's to your vitamin regimen. After the detoxing, you should feel MUCH better.
