| Hey everyone. Well, after a horrible two weeks where everything that could go wrong went wrong, I have to get back on track. My life just turned upside down. I managed to do "okay" with eating. Basically, when I am stressed, I don't eat. So I went a good week and a half putting myself in starvation mode, and then all hell broke loose. I have pigged out non-stop since Saturday. I feel like crap. I only gained 4 pounds so I think I'll be okay. What to do? Should I do Induction for a few days and pound the water or just get back on track? I find I need this WOE not just for the structure and health benefits, but for the way it helps me feel emotionally, too. Plus, I've missed the support -- giving and receiving -- here on LCE. It's amazing how quickly my energy was sapped, and how quickly the carbs drained me of everything I worked so hard for. I also went right back to my full caffeine addiction, so I now get to kick that again. Ugh. Time to lean on you all again! Thanks for "listening." | i have found that if i just get back on track the pounds come off. no need to go through induction again. drink plenty of water, of course. i am pretty sure it's just water weight at this point. welcome back & i hope everything works out for you! christine 166/147/120 L/C 8/04/03 |

| Chippy, unless you've developed some really nasty, and uncontrollable cravings, I wouldn't go through induction again.. I'd just drop carbs down by about 10 or so for about a week just to get back into the swing of things. Induction is unnecessary punishment! I don't think I could go through the whole 2 weeks again, and I have a terrible stubborn streak. (296/220/135) 04/01/03 The Downward Spiral Begins |

| Surprisingly, my cravings didn't come back, but I still indulged anyway. Go figure. I absolutely dreaded the thought of going back on Induction -- I would much rather cut back and drown myself in water. Kicking the caffeine is the other evil I dread...three days of unrelenting headaches. Sigh... But there is the light at the end of the tunnel -- more energy! Yeah. | Keep in mind that, no matter what you ate, it's not likely that you gained four pounds of fat in two weeks. When you go back to LC (and not necessarily induction), you'll drop the water you took in along with the extra carbs. Just pick it up from here wherever you feel comfortable. You'll be back on track in no time. Barb L. Started Atkins January 2003 162/141/130 |

| Welcome back Chippy!!!!! I hope things are normalizing in your life! I agree, just get back on track with real, whole foods. Maybe do half-caf coffee for awhile, and then taper off. Again, welcome back. Barb Atkins-3/14/03 174/146/135 "A little knowledge is a dangerous thing." |
