I seem to be snacking on cheese alot and I'm not losing at all. I'm in ketosis I'm in between pink and purple.I'm so stalled though.

What else is there to snack on besides boiled eggs ,cheese, and porkskins ??

I'm really down about it today after walking on the treadmill all weekend I'm worse off than I was before. Just want to cry today

I tend not to snack too much myself so I'm not much help on that one...

How long have you gone without a loss? If you're in ketosis your on the right track. Keep drinking your water and exercising.. A WHOOSH as most describe will probably be coming... You'll pee and pee and pee and then you'll see the loss on the scale.

Of course many lose inches better than pounds, but it can be quite frustrating to get on that scale and it doesn't move - or goes the wrong way. How often are you weighing yourself? Try not to give much credence on daily weigh-in's... Look for weekly and monthly trends. Fitday.com is an excellent way to do that...

bella - please don't get too down - you are doing sooooo well. Stalls happen to all of us - I just ended a 2+ month stall today! As far as snacking, how about some macadamia nuts? or ham and cheese and lettuce rollups (I like to do this with dill pickle slices, too - or smoked salmon? Sone black olives are pretty ymmy, too. My DH makes me these cute little "cracker" things - he slices zucchini or summer squash, topes the rouds with a little meat and cheese (pepperonis, roast beef, something like that) and zaps in microwave for about 10-15 seconds. YUM! Sicne you are in ketosis, you know you are burning fat - cold you be losing inches, not pounds? Give me the inches ANY DAY.

    Bella:

Please give us a typical days' menu so that we can tell you what we think may be problem areas.

My clothes feel tighter I guess I'll just wait and see. My hubby has to work late so I'm going to force myself to get on the treadmill again. Thanks for the encouraging words I really appreciate them.

I don't see a problem with your menu but you might be right about reducing the cheese. I had to lower my cheese intake to 2 or 3 ounces most days in order to speed up my weight loss. Have you used a food tracker like www.fitday.com? food tracking can often help you spot a problem.
It could be something as simple as too many calories or more often, believe it or not, too few calories.

    Bella,

You don't say how much water you are drinking and you are certainly not eating enough veggies. Get some green leafies going there! (Also, check the carb count for your squash. Some winter squashes are pretty high for a whole cup cooked.)

Yes the water is probably a problem I do real good and drink like a fish and then I don't drink anything. I used to drink like 1 soda all day and not even finish it, bad habit.I'm on my 5th 16 oz glass today.I also just started working out again after a 6 month break.I'm gonna add more salads in my lunch menu too I've been missing them.

You need to eat waaaayyyyy more veggies. You should be eating at least 2 cups of veggies for lunch as well as for dinner. Limit yourself to 4 ounces of cheese per day and drink in excess of 100 ounces of water per day.

    Hi Bella,
I know how frostrating it is, I have been on Atkins for 7 weeks and on saturday I will weigh myself. In the first couple of weeks I weighed myself every day and was unpleasantly surprised so I stopped. But I feel so good, I am full of energy, I wake up early, I exercise, above all,my health has improved so much that people have noticed changes in me without having come out and asking if I lost any weight. So keep the Faith and remember that food never taste as good as we feel towards ourself.
