Well, I have been bouncing back and forth from 167 to 172 for some time now, so I decided to be honest (with myself?) about my weight. Let me tell you it is not as fun adding the pounds as it is subtracting them .

I have totally been messing up since 12/19, when I caved in and ate the sweet treats at school. Every day since then I have had some form of HC food(s). I have no control over my actions~~~yes I do, I just choose to ignore it.

I feel terrible. I am bloated and sluggish feeling, but that has not deterred me. I keep trying ot get back to LC but I need to get remotivated.

Wow! This post sure does sound whiny, but this is the mood I have been in .

How about some swift verbal kicks to get me moving?

    Thanks Gang!

Hi Susan, who am I to give you a swift kick in the yes! Look at you. You have done so well. You know what's doing this. It is that viscous cycle thing going on. You had some carbs NOW you want MORE carbs. We are all victims of this addiction. So just commit to 1 or 2 days of induction like eating and the cravings will be gone and you will be back to normal and on that down hill slide again. You can do it! Just think of that Oh so good feeling you have when you are doing what you know is right for you and as a bonus you get to see the needle on that scale go lower and lower. Come on! Lets do it!

    Susan
YOU CAN DO IT!! So go do it!
It;s not easy getting over the carb induced cravings but you did it before, So there's no reason you can't do it now. In your shoes I'd do a week of induction. Drink a ton of water. and exercise. But you just need to do what you were doing before 12/19 to succeed.

I agree with Rob. A week of induction would help you with the carb cravings. It's only 5 lbs. right now.

    Susan,
You can do it........We'll do it together. School starts back next week, and you'll be away from the kitchen. I'm in pretty much the same boat. I looking for some unsuspecting skinny person to dump lots of the leftover carbojunk on. Hang in there, do an induction day or two and "normalacy" will return soon.

Susan.....Susan.....Yay, Susan.....!!!!! You can do it, sister. I've been there too, actually in this Christmas season! 24 hours without sweets cut the cravings. It was hard, but not nearly as hard as the first time! You can do it.

Thanks for all of the encouraging words. I truly appreciate being able to come to this site for "words of wisdom" from all of the experts .

I was able to resist all cravings for sweets today and I ate induction style. I also have increased my water. I think I can get a handle on my out-of-control eating . I am going to try and do a week on induction like Rob and Joyce suggested.

Rave, I enjoyed your knock on the head. Too cute!

Judy, am I going to have to kick you? We will be back to "normal" next week and we will stay on plan. Right?

Barb, you are doing so great! I guess we cannot call you the Queen of Stalls now .

Peg, I think you are right about making it clean for 24 hours. Now I just have to survive New Year's Eve.

    Happy New Years!

    Susan,
Remember our "normal" is relative. That's why we have the "Challenge of School".
