What would make that happen? My ring is tight this morning and I feel bloated. (It's not a female thing.) I took an acidophilus capsule last night and my first Atkins Basic 3 vitamin. That was the only thing I did differently. And what can I do to get rid of it?

I noticed last night that I didn't feel well for a few hours and don't know if I could have had a reaction to one or the other.

I take my vitamins (Atkins 3) in the morning with my breakfast. I also take the Essential Oils. Eating them with food prevents nausea.

I'm sure that you know that you need to drink more water in order to counteract the effects of water retention.

Often our water retention just happens. I do not deal with hormone issues, but still have unexplained water retention. I always increase my water for a day and it stops. Be sure that you are producing the amount of urine for the water you are drinking.

I have to agree with Peg...

How much water **exactly** are you drinking?

One interesting phenomenon that happens when we start losing fat is that our cells *temporarily* replace the lost fat with water. That's why you sometimes don't get a *whoosh* loss until you've been following this for a while.
But this woe (way of eating) is notorious for keeping the excess water OFF, so I am a little confused.
Have you eaten a lot of salty foods or things with a lot of preservatives and/or nitrites in them? (bacon, deli meats, nuts, etc.)
If you continue to retain water, inexplicably, I would see a doctor.

I did have some bacon last night. That must have been it.
