I am very disappointed in Burger King . I saw a sign there yesterday that said they had a low-carb menu. Perfect, so I thought. I ran there over my lunch today and got a low-carb double cheeseburger and side salad. Thank goodness for the side salad, or I might have starved!! When I got back to work and opened my lunch, I was shocked!! They package it in a breakfast platter box and it consists of two patties with cheese and one pickle on each patty. WHAT?!?! And, to top it off, this abomination of a "lunch" cost $2.99!! I thought it would be similar to the Hardee's low-carb burger which is a burger topped with the legal topping and wrapped in a lettuce leaf. I guess I'll stick to my salad at BK. Just needed to vent.

Sounds pretty yucky to me. Fast food joints have gone from unhealthy to opportunistic without missing a beat--or a buck. I just don't bother with any of them.

Thanks for the heads-up, I'm not surprised.

I noticed that Lee's Famous Recipe Chicken is now offering a low carb meal. The chicken in the picture doesn't have breading.

Take care~

One of the hardest things to give up on Atkins was my run through the fast food joints to get lunch, snack, coffee, etc. Of course, each drive through was an excuse to buy something to eat too. I was so happy when Dunkin Donuts became drive through.

That was thirty pounds ago.

I still miss it, but find that "real" food is about all I can eat and still lose or maintain. I do take vitamin supplements, etc., but stick with packing my lunch. I also buy Trader Joes almonds and have them in the car and in my purse, and in my briefcase for snacks .

I have heard good things about Subway's LC wraps on another board. Haven't had the chance to try one yet.

Slow and steady wins the race.
