Before I went home for christmas I had weighed my self and I had lost 36 pounds on the atkins - then the holidays came - oh no - I had a terrible week and a half off the atkins - should I start with induction again of just lower my intake to 20 grams of carbs a day - I don't know what to do? However I did get a gym membership so I will start that in two days - let me know if anyone can help?

I'm going through the same thing...I'm gonna go back to induction for a week, then start going back to my regular WOE. It's worth giving your body a week or so to get the carb junk out of your system. You may not lose more than a couple of pounds, but it's a good way to get back on the wagon.

Hi Samm,
Welcome to LCE. Different folks do different things for "damage" control, so it's kind of up to you. Personally, I think I would do at least 3-5 days of induction level carbs, hit the water big time, and also start my exercise program. Then after a week, re-evaluate and see if you've made progress. I am assuming, you had a significant gain over the holidays?
I think lots of folks did; so just get back on the Low Carb wagon and stick with it...you can do it!
Good luck and post often and let us know how you are doing.

WELCOME SAM!!!

I agree with everyone so far. I would start with another week of induction, mainly to clear the toxins and junk out of your system. Eat pure and real. And stear clear of the bars, for now at least, I find that they tend to stall me.
