Does anyone take this and is it good? My cheaper multivitamin only has 200mg per serving of chromium so i thought about taking one of the 500mg Picolinate in addition to my multivitamin. Is anyone familiar with it?

It was advertised every where a few years ago as a weight loss supplement wonder drug. I believe research has shown that it has a small amount of benefit on controlling insulin levels (spikes). From my personal experience, I did not see any change in my weight loss when I used it a few years ago. The multivitamin I take nowadays has it in it but I do not remember the amount. I think it doesn't hurt to have it in your supplement but I would not go out and spend extra money on it.

Other opinions may vary...

I have to agree - Don't spend money on additional C.p. if your supplement alrerady contains 200 mg. Not to mention the chromium in your food.
Here's a link with lots of information.

i've been taking a Green Tea supplement which also has Chromium. I've been exercising a lot so I don't know if it's just that or the supplements, however I do see i'm getting more cut and defined muscles than ever before. I will keep taking them.

My carb addicts book talks about Chromium and suggest taking it but not as Chromium Picolinate. They suggest taking GTF Chromium without anything added to it and say it helps regulate insulin levels. They also say it could take 30 days (I think) or more to see the affects.

I have started taking it this week. I really don't know much about Chromium other than what this book suggested. We'll see!
