Hi everyone...I'm just going to whine and complain for a few minutes, so if you'd rather not hear it please feel free to click your back button...now..... Ok, for the rest of you dear souls who decided to stick it out with me, thanks! I'm just alittle down because ever since the holidays (and my big move back home) I've been going in the wrong direction scale wise. I know I make some oopsies, but it still frustrates me to no avail. Plus, now that I have gotten back on track I havent been losing a thing or I hover between 2-4lbs. Grrrr. I have been drinking so much water that I think I could take on a second job as a buoye (sp?) so I know that't not it. I started an account with fitday to try to track exactly what i'm eating and how its all adding up. So far so good. I'm joining the gym on tuesday and I'm GOING to go at least 3 to 4 times a week. This all could be stress related too, I did move because I'm doing a full-time internship starting next wednesday, taking an internet class, starting part-time job and I will be graduating in may. Plus on monday I have my senior recital. It is all pretty stressful. But, hopefully after I adjust it will all be better. Thank you for all listening to me, I just feel so down because I have all these big dreams of actually wearing a bathing suit without 5 pieces of clothes over it this summer. I just hope my body agrees with what my mind has planned for it. You guys are great, just remember that. You've all helped me so much through out these past 5 months. Thank you!! ![]() Once again, sorry for my "Woe is Me" attitude but I needed to vent. Carpe Diem!!! Atkins since 8/15/03 5'4 231/194/155 Fiesty Red-Head

Emily, It's ok to vent...vent away...sometimes it just plain feels better to get it off the chest...LOL. You certainly have the right to feel stressed, and stress can do strange things to the body...both physically and mentally. Remember, though, it is very important to take care of yourself during these times. Drinking your water, eating healthfully, and getting enough rest should be among the things on the top of your list. I know, easier said than done. Just give it your best effort, and I'm sure things will level out for you. Congrats on your loss so far! Also, congrats on performing with the SD symphony...how exciting!(I am a mom of a music major also...long story). Take a deep breath, focus on the job at hand, and the rest will fall into place Keep posting and let us know how it is going. Best wishes for a successful music season! HTH Shelley sg *LC WOLF*

Emily That's what we're here for, to be vented upon. Just keep on doing what you've been doing and be patient. It's not unusual for weight to stall and then suddenly one day be 3 to 5 pounds lighter. Rob 310/234.5/180 Me, a skeptic? I trust you have proof.

| {{{{{Emily}}}}} I think we have all been in the same place you are now. Stressville!!! Like Shelly said our body tends to see these times and thinks it is doing us a favor by holding onto our weight. After all we may need all of the extra padding--NOT I agree with Rob, just keep on doing and be patience (I know it is hard). Maybe instead of being in a stall (with or without the horse) the Whoosh fairy will visit you soon. Good luck with your internship, class, job and recital. | I know where of you are speaking. Over Christmas I didn't cheat once, I kept my water up, everything, but somehow gained 8 pounds in 2 weeks. My mom and DB were here, and they are NOT l/cing...so I was starting to think the carbs were getting in by osmosis.....They left last Saturday. Since then (Jan 3) I have dropped 13 pounds!!!! I don't know if it was stress or water retention...whatever it was I am thrilled it is GONE. The one thing I kept telling myself was this: I know I am not eating off plan. I know I am doing everything right. With this being true, I knew the weight would come back off. It was the only thing that kept my spirits up. I think sometimes I was even chanting it out loud! 400/335/200 |

Wow karmen! 13 pounds! That is wonderful! What an inspiration! I gained back eight pounds in the last two weeks, and I did not cheat over Christmas either. I have relost four of the pounds and can't wait to see the other four go. Peace, Joanna 299/276/130
