I only have 28 lbs left to lose...and even though I have been on Induction for a week, I have only dropped 2 pounds...is this normal when you are so close to goal weight? I'm planning on doing Induction for one more week and then moving on up to OWL..also, are there a lot of people out there who follow the no-limit legal green veggies rule when they move off Induction and into OWL?

I'm not close to goal weight so I don't know about that, but I do follow the no limit green veggie idea. I seem to do better overall because of the extra fiber bulk and chewing satisfaction.

I don't know from experience about slow weight loss close to goal, but I have heard it many times from those who are, like you, so close to goal.

Also...2 pounds a week is not bad...The point isn't how fast you get there, just that you do. Losing 2 pounds a week, you will get there soon.

Yes, Sheyla, the closer you are, the slower it will generally go. Since you have already lost weight, you won't have the larger induction losses some people have who are just beginning--but that's ok! As long as you are feeling good and losing, you are on the right track. Two pounds at this point is great, believe me. At this point have patience.

If you haven't taken your measurements in a while, do so. You'll more than likely be surprised from week to week how your measurements will change even when your weight loss is slow or seemingly non-existent. And by the way, congrats on the great job you've done already!.

I don't know what the percentage of people following the no limit legal veggie version might be. I do know that none of us got fat from eating green beans!

Thank you very much for your answers! I had my measurements taken a week ago at the gym after being there a month...they told me I had lost 4 pounds that month and 6.25 inches. I was very delighted with losing the inches...and that is one thing I do notice about LC'ing, you tend to lose a lot more inches...even if the scale isn't moving...I'm trying to be as patient as I can with this...I know that the slower you go, the better...that way, you develop a way of life into your head better...and it becomes more of a habit...well, thanks again!

sheyla, you got it!!!! I am a VERY slow loser, a member of the "slow as a glacier club" but that' s okay, I'm good with that. Yet when I look back, it went by fast and I've lost 30 lbs so far. Now that I am so close to goal, it is REALLLLLLY coming off slow.

Barb - 30 lbs gone FOREVER!
