Mine fluctuates between 1700 and 2200 with the occasional 1300 or 3500. Carbs I allow myself a range between 35 and 45 at the current time. On occasion I go over 45 and just make up for it the next day. I've done comaprisons between my carb and calorie count and weight loss and I seem to lose best at 35 to 40 carbs average. I seem to do best if i keep my calories about 2000.

Tough question. I've been on Atkins a year, including about half that time at what seems to be maintenance (though I'd like to drop another 8-10 lbs.) I've tinkered with everything nutritionally to try to figure out the right combo of carbs, calories, fat, and alcohol. Nothing seems to make a dramatic difference, as in restarting the steady downward weight trend I experienced for the first six months on the program.

My conclusion? It's very individual. A do-it-yourself experiment of one. I'm making a commitment to low-carb over the long term, so I have time to try whatever I wish within the guidelines of the program.

I don't know what my carb intake is but i do know that they all come from high fiber veggies and fruits (spinach, brocoli and raw carrots), tangerines, strawberries and the occasional apple. My almost daily snack is 1oz of mixed nuts and now i added 1 cup of atkins cereal.

I do know that my best calorie level is 1400 - 1500. This makes me loose consistently, but keep in mind i do no exercise.

Started 3/20/03 thru 9/2003
Restarted 1/2/04, this time i will finish what i started.

It's been years since I counted carbs meticulously. Now I just use the Ketostix to make sure I'm staying within bounds. So I don't really know.

I seem to be able to eat more carbs during some months than I can in other months. The reasons are speculative and elusive, but they seem to have to do with moods and activities.
