Lost my password and all information on Fitday~best thing that could happen. Found Fitday for your PC for $19.95 and love it. I know this sounds like an advertisement, but I just want to share. It's so much easier to be able to make entry's without going on line. Boy this is going to be so embarrassing if this is common knowledge and I think I stumbled on to something good

I too cheap to pay $19.95 for a program. I built an excel workbook with lots of spreadsheets. I use the USDA page for the stats on food.

So I have a daily summary since the first time I tried low carb (well after I started slowing down and was wondering why) and I have started it again for this time. I have a spreadsheet of just the food I normally eat. That makes it easy to cut and paste into my daily diet.

I track weight, exercise, and for food I track the standard Carbs, calories, fats, sodium, protein, fiber, various other things.

I track my daily diary and then once a day put it into my summary.

But I agree it is nice to have the information on my own computer rather then on someone else's website.

New attitude'
No I wasn't aware this existed. It might be good for some people but I'll stick to Online (and free). Though at some future date I might consider it.

I recently purchased the PC version as well. It is actually better than the online version. As you enter a food in the title column there is a drop down list that refines it's search as you type. It will also find your custom foods in the same list. I also like the addition of a carb-fiber column. I haven't done much with the custom recipes feature but you can input (drag and drop) the ingredients and it does all the calculations. I used to enter them all in a spreadsheet, do the totals and then go to fitday to enter the totals.

I purchased it because our dial-up service here is not always reliable and IS always slow. I just wish I could retrieve the 6 mos. of records I have on line and input them to the PC version, other than manually

I think it's a relatively new program--you should send them that input. They might work it in to later versions.

I won't pay for it when I can get it free, either. I saw they now have 750,000 members, so I imagine they're making some money from advertisers.

Since I have cable internet, I'm hooked up all the time, anyway.

The on-line version works much better for me as I'm on a dozen or so different PCs (and a couple of Macs) during the week.

I think the PC version is a new feature since Jan.1 -at least I never noticed it before than.

I just started using Fitday a few days ago. Ilove it! I use the online version. It seems to have everything I need.

Peace, Joanna

My vote is with the online (free) version. I can get to the information from anywhere. Bless the people that came up with that site!
