Hello ,
Hope everyone's holidays were wonderful. I am so happy to be back on this site!! I began LCE on May 22, 2003 at 198lbs and was down to 155 on Nov.5, 2003. I left on a cruise that day and left my LCE at home(bad choice) I am in the process of induction again (into second week with 4lbs gone). Gained 13 lbs from Nov. 5th -Jan.2.(not proud)Just wanted to touch base and get back into the swing of things. I've learned my lesson about getting off of LCE. Gaining the weight was not the biggest issue this time around, but how sick I felt most of the time, litterally. I am so glad to be back on track and ready to feel great again! I am now at 168lbs. and still have a goal weight of 125lbs. I have 43 lbs to go and am setting a personal goal of reaching that by May 22, 2004 which will be my son's first birthday. That would be 2.3 lbs per week , which is a stretch, but with willpower, support and conviction, I believe it can be done. Thanks for listening, talk to ya soon.

Hi Lisa

Thanks for the post... it was good for me to hear that I am not alone. I began LCE in July, 2003 and lost 34 pounds by November. When Thanksgiving came along my newfound LCE WOL went by the wayside. Between November and January I gained 4ish pounds and didn't see the inside of the gym very much.

Like you, I have now returned to induction, although a modified version. I also learned a valuable lesson... I thought by eating just a little of this and a little of that everything would be OK. Now I know just how wrong I was. It's not so easy...once I broke the cycle all those terrible cravings came back and I lost my newfound friend, energy, as well.

Now I'm climbing back on the wagon again and am grateful that I didn't gain more... it could have been much worse. I currently weigh 171 and my goal is 140.

Lisa, I wish you the best of luck and congratulations on having the strength to return to induction.

All the best,
Karen

I too am returning (haven't been to the site since September!) after a rough year (deaths in family) and a couple of breaks from the LC WOE.

But I'm still 15 lbs lighter than I was this time last year and I'm back on the horse this week :-)

Can't believe all the changes in the visibility of LC in just the past few months -- LC menus at Ruby Tuesday's and TGI Fridays, new options at Subway and McDonalds, Heinz 1 carb ketchup, breyers CarbSmart ice cream and today's Wall St. Journal mentioned Unilever brands like Skippy and Lawry's steak sauce to be introduced in new LC forms.

Oh, and a great new brand for the old Pleasantville/Mama Wisa :-)

Best of luck to folks as you recharge. I'm hoping to drop the 10 or so I had lost and gained back throughout the year as I waxed and waned on the WOE...

edit: hmmm, though I originally signed up to the forum early 2003, it shows my date as 9/10...wonder if that's just due to software change?
