Do you think that if you are getting most of your carbs from dairy, even though you are keeping your intake between 25-30, it will hinder your weight loss, maybe even make you gain.
I'm guilty for drinking way to much coffee with half & half, I'm like a junkie...It has never affected me before.
I have been lcing since June with fantastic results but since Jan 1, with no cheats, I seem to be packing on the lbs.
The scale is 5 lbs heavier and my jeans don't fit like they used to.
I'm not giving up...but I am definitly not responding to this woe like I was.
I think I'd better reinduct. I know I should have a week ago but I was just hoping something would click but no such luck so far.
What do you guys think... I would really love your opinion. Thank you.

Snickers:

Your name makes me crave chocolate.

Ditch the half-n-half. I'm an avid coffee drinker...I drink at least 2 pots a day. Stick with heavy whipping cream which you buy in the dairy section.

Most of your carbs should come from vegetables. No other source. There are a few carbs in meats, cheeses, eggs, etc. You must have carbs. Get them from veggies. You should be eating AT LEAST 4 cups of veggies per day, and not the high glycemic ones such as carrots, tomatoes, and squash.

Go ahead and have your coffee with the heavy whipping cream, but eat those veggies! Also, limit yourself to 4 ounces of cheese per day (and only aged cheese...not that pasturized processed cheese).

I'll agree with April... When I started I was doing the 1/2 and 1/2 in my coffee and someone on this board suggested heavy cream instead, and not only does it taste better, less carbs.

Everyone is right but do you know that your coffee also has carbs. 8 oz of coffee is .95 carbs and one tablespoon of heavy cream is .41 carbs.

I have to limit my self to only so much coffee in a day or I over do my carbs.

So if you are drinking that much coffee are you getting your water in. The fastest way to slow down or stop your losing is slowing down or stopping the water.

Hope things improve.

Coffee doesn't count toward your water intake because it's a diuretic.

Thanks, I'll definitely try the heavy cream.
I eat my veggies everyday, limit my cheese to 3-4 times a week, 2-3oz's.Basically, I have been a very clean eater since I started this.I think I'm guilty of not drinking my water like I did over the summer. Starting tomorrow, things will be different, I'm getting all flipped out over this weight gain and I know that 5 can turn into 10 real fast and that's the last thing I want. Stressing out isn't helping either, that can cause a gain I think. Anyway, thanks everyone for your input, I'm going to drown myself in water.

It's a sad fact that coffee has more carbs than the half and half and cream you put in it. Every time I hear that I want to shout "say it isn't so". But if you have one or two cups then it doesn't matter whether you use cream or 1/2 and 1/2. But some people do better with heavy cream and some do better with half and half. I'm a half and half person or I used to be. Recently i switched to carb countdown milk at 3 carbs per cup. so my 3 cups (gigantic mugs) of coffee takes 1.12 carbs of milk. It works for me better than 1/2 and 1/2 and cream. YMMV
