Hi All...

I am not toally new to the Atkins woe, and I'm doing great so far. Slight stall after the first two weeks which I hear is pretty common. As far as the ketostix go...during my last week and a half of induction it was turning purple, but now all I get is light pink. I know that water affects it because it dilutes your urine. I've also started going to the gym 5 days a week, and I'm doing a "low carb specific" weight training and cardio. Does exercise affect the stix in any way? I'm just curious...because I thought the stix would get darker if you're exercising away the carbs from your body? I know we shouldn't put too much stock in the ketostix, but I sure like to see it dark...it is a big motivator for me. By the way...I haven't addad THAT many carbs to my OWL routine. In fact, I'm sort of stalled right now...but I'm not too worried about it I know it will come off.

Thanks for listening.
Lisa

You're either in ketosis or you're not; the degree of color does not matter, except to indicate by darker colors that you probably need more water. Kinda like...you can't be "a little bit pregnant". You either are..or aren't.

Thank you! That makes me feel a lot better.
Because I'm definitely drinking tons of water. I've become addicted to it.
