...and I'm having a tough time eating 3-squares. I started OWL on Sunday and I added a cup of veggies to my dinner and I even allowed myself dessert of berries and whip cream. However, I noticed yesterday that I really wasn't hungry for several hours after breakfast. I ended skipping lunch and having dinner at around 4:30pm. Now this morning, I had to force myself to eat breakfast, because I am really not hungry. Is this common? I mean, I don't think I've ever had to "force" myself to eat!! I don't think it's fear of OWL, I was actually looking forward to more choices granted during OWL, I just don't have an appetite. Please help!! Cherub 304/288/160 5'9" Started Atkins 01/04/04

Are you in ketosis? If so, that is one of the bonuses, no hunger. You still need to eat and not go more than 6 waking hours without food. Take care~ Susan LCE Member since 01/02

Susan, I don't check ketosis regularly, but the last time I did--it was probably the end of the first week of induction--the stick indicated moderate. I'll try to eat something, but I'm afraid I'll not get the 25carbs of OWL. Anyway, I'll just keep pushing on and let this work itself out... Cherub 304/288/160 5'9" Started Atkins 01/04/04
