I have been doing this wol since new years, walking 3 to 5 miles probably 4 times a week, and keeping the carb count between 20 and 30,(guessing here); however, I was still having a few Miller Lites and/or a few shots of whiskey most days. I work shift work, and when you get home at 7:00 in the morning after working all night, you tell yourself, you need a little sumpin sumpin to help you sleep. But I wasn't losing very much weight, and when I woke up, my head would be all swoole up, and my feel bad was sticking out. I cut the totties out 6 days ago, and I have lost about 70 pounds (well, maybe not quite 70, but my stomach pooch is gone!). I feel alot better, and those long walks are paying off!

Way to go, Razor-I, too have a really rough schedule and end up having a lite beer or couple of vodka mixed drinks after work. I'm sure cutting down even more on the drinkies would remind the Whoosh fairy where I live. Thanks for reminding me...

Uh-Huh!

What you've got to remember about alcohol is that it is a VERY EASILY useable fuel for your body. Goes in to your bloodstream fast and pretty much "ready to use."

Consequently, you turn off your fat buring as soon as you start drinking and, if you drink enough, you'll actually start storing some of it, so that return to fat burning takes even longer.

In moderation, it will slow things down. In excess, it will bring your weight loss to a screeching halt, or even reverse it.

Plus, in excess, it gives you a headache and makes you feel like s***.

Just a couple of reasons to go easy, gang. We all know there are more.

(and just so you know, I'm not a non-drinker - just a rational one. )
