Some co-workers and I ate Italian last night. It was probably the best meal I've ever had. Been sick ever since. It was extremely high carb and I'm not used to that. How do you recover? I have to get together with others today and need a little more energy than I have right now.

I hadn't eaten like this in years. Now I see why..

A high-carb binge will make you sick. I think we lose the ability to digest carbs well after a while, not to mention what it does to your blood sugar.

I would take it really easy on carbs today, eat only what you know you can digest easily (like maybe some broth, scrambled eggs, and cooked veggies), and drink LOTS of water. You should feel better soon.

And remember today, the next time you get the urge to eat high carbs.

Cooking is at once child's play and adult joy.
And cooking done with care is an act of love.

I'm doing the broth and protein route today, and lots of fluid. I also ran a while today, trying to stay in a regular routine so maybe my body will work thru this faster.
