I saw it at Wal Mart this past weekend. It has (I believe) 2 net carbs per serving? It's the same price as regular slim fast.
I'm going to look into it more on Saturday.

That's interesting - after all those years of trying to get us to lose weight by drinking sugar!

Looks higher than the Adkins ones. I prefer to stick with the name that means it.
Also, 18 carb on the bars (if I could do any of them). pretty darn high.

I tried one of the Slim Fast LC shakes. The Chocolate Royale wasn't too bad. I did notice it had 2 g of sugar in it...looked at the ingredients but couldn't figure out where the sugar came from....so that's something you might just want to watch if you try them. They are $1 cheaper than the Atkins product here. But like someone else said,I would prefer to stick to the real thing as well.

I had a chocolate one and it was fine, but it had a sort of tinny taste to it.

I love the Chocolate - put it in the freezer for 1.5 hrs (when I get to work), and TA DA instant milkshake!! I think it is very good, much better than Atkins, and here it is almost 1/2 the price (under $5.00)! My DD really likes the Vanilla, I haven't tried it yet, but we both agree - these are the BOMB almost-frozen!

The Atkins shakes have 1 g of sugars too. If they actually cost less, I might give them a try. The bars though are almost all sugar alcohols. I will stay away from them.

Also what's up with Whoopie Goldberg? Is she doing low carb, or did they just sign her for an endorsemnet deal?

The Atkins shakes taste better to us, but are so much more expensive (4 for $8). The Slimfast shakes are much cheaper (4 for $4), but also taste weaker, almost watered down.

I will have to try the freezer thing though!

NOT GONNA QUIT!

The best way to have the shakes is to put them in the blender and add several ice cubes, one at a time. Sometime I'll add some LC syrup, too. The texture is great, it's more filling, and you've just increased your water intake, too.

They are running two different commercials here. Whoopie is endorsing both, regular Slim Fast and Low Carb Slim Fast. There is something for everyone!

A little off topic, there is a weight loss place here that has been advertising since right after New Year's. It has this slimed down woman standing next to her before picture talking about all of her failed diets in the past. This place has been what is behind her weight loss success. They play this commercial so much in the evenings that I cannot stand it anymore, sick to death of it. Well, two nights ago, the same commercial comes on, only it has been revamped. The same lady, wearing the same outfit, standing next to the same picture, BUT, the first words out of her mouth have changed to "When I attempted a high protein low carb diet in the past, I felt weak and nauseous, but THEN, I found --name of weight loss place-- and it changed everything. Then, it shows another woman standing next to her before picture talking about how this amazing place changed her life with giving her a diet that included delicious carbs and she still lost weight. I see the whole thing as a phoney now. Had they started the commercial that way from the beginning, Jan 2, it would be one thing, but they just edited it two days ago. I guess buisness wasn't so good due to all of the folks turning to low carb.

Alrighty then, didn't mean to drift so far off the subject here, but the Whoopie endorsing both brands of Slim Fast triggered my thoughts of that other commercial. As for LC Slim Fast, I have not tried it yet, they want 7.00 for 4 tiny cans of it and I refuse.

Soy Slender Chocolate SoyMilk. It's $1.69 for a quart and it tastes better than any of those metallic shakes. And it doesn't have a humongous list of artificial ingredients.

Yeah. I am going to go to Wegmans, probably tomorrow, and ask if they can order some for me. They are usually really good with requests like that. BTW, Doc I you are almost up to 1000, congrats.
