Last night, at the annual meeting, I was part of the group designated to bring dessert. I made two of the "Easy" pies from Sharron Long's wonderful Very Low Carb cookbook (her latest) --one green (lime) and one red (strawberry banana.) This is a yummy dessert!

I put them on the table among dozens of plates and dishes loaded with other goodies, with a sign that clearly said "Sugar Free/Low-Carb." A few people (don't know who) sampled the pies--but I have to say low-carb lost out bigtime at the church dinner.

Still, I was very happy to have a dessert for ME at that dinner--spared me a devilish lot of temptation! And my husband was not disappointed that I brought home plenty of pie for both of us later.

Just wait...

As the diabetics at your church find out, they'll get more popular! That happened at first, but now my desserts are amongst the more popular, believe it or not! Everyone is always so curious...
