Fresh ginger root tea.
Lots of veggie soups.
Plenty of liquids.
NICE sugar free cough drops.

Hope you're feeling better soon.

As far as the exercise is concerned I received this advice a couple of weeks ago:

You should forego it until you are feeling better. When you feel stronger (but are still not 100%) you can resume an exercise program but it should be at roughly half the intensity. Go half as quickly as you would usually and for half the time. Pushing yourself when you are sick is not a good idea. I doesn't help anything.

I found this advice to be good and it worked for me.

Hope you feel better soon!

I had a bad cold a few weeks ago. I took one day off, but then went back to the gym even though I was still sick. I actually felt better. I really think, though, you need to do what's best for you. If you have a "flu" you don't want to be exercising at the gym and getting others sick.

I had a flu right before christmas. I stopped exercising, drank plenty of fluids (which I was already doing ), and took about 1000-2000mg of vitamin C. IMO, I recovered faster than average.

Good Luck

My husband and I both got a cold...I got over it in a few days, and his is still lingering after more than a week. I'm sure I got over it more quickly because of the vitamins I'm on, and this way of eating. He probably had it longer than usual because he smokes.

But we've had a deal for years...as soon as I lose 30 pounds he will quit. I wish I would lose faster!

Thanks for the great words! I have my N'Ice drops and I'm going to fix a cup of tea and go to bed. Blessings to all!
