I know that you all warn against staying in Induction too long, so I wanted to check in and see what people thought of my situation.

I did strict Induction for ten days (lost 2-3 pounds) but due to TOM and the Superbowl, gained that back in bloat that's since left. I havn't weighed in since, however, but I can see progress.

I've been back in Induction for four days now, and will continue tomorrow. My BD is on Saturday, and while I am making special LC food for my special day, I will probably have about 50 or so carbs. I thought that was a good compromise: include fruit and higher carb LC that I love, while not blowing my progress. Plus, I really have no desire to have anything else, since this WOE is really working for me. Then I was planning another day of Induction Sunday.

So...should I do one more full week of Induction after that? My pattern has not been consistent, so should I do another week just to be safe? Or start adding carbs back in?

Also, I work out a lot, about an hour of cardio and weights 4-5 times a week, plus pilates.

Some of my menus are posted in my journal. Any thoughts would be great since I know you all are pros at this. Thanks!

Happy Birthday to you.

If you are going to do 50 good carbs or so it might throw you out of Ketosis. It takes a few days to get back so I would not do the entire week next week but maybe 4 days. Check at that point and see if you are back losing. Then start adding carbs.

I am assuming 50 net carbs not gross carbs.

My 2 cents

Yes, 50 net carbs. That's just a rough guess, but I've planned my menu and it may end up being much less. LC cheesecake for the birthday girl thanks to the recipe forum!

That's a good idea, do a few days back in Induction. From past experience, this one day of more relaxed LC eating won't make a huge difference. It's the all-out-carb-fests that last a few days that really take a toll.

Thanks for the input! I always feel better having a clear plan.

Well, I just weighed in to show no change. Should I still plan on moving into OWL next week even though I've hardly budged during Induction?
