Well, after reading all the wonderful posts about ACV and Sea Salt. I decided to give it a try (for multiple reasons...). So I stopped by my only local HFS (there is another one but its way out of my way..). I picked up the Braggs brand (sp?) but I had to pay $6.00 for the 32 oz bottle. Is that not a little high? I looked at the Sea Salt but the three brands they carried all looked like "repackaged table salt" (no trace minerals..). So I will be stopping by the other store today on my way home from work to what Sea Salt they offer (and the ACV prices...).

Sorry for my long posts all the time...

My point is that my HFS has HIGH prices it seems on everything (LC and otherwise) but I guess its still cheaper than ordering online and paying shipping...

I guess I'm just ranting...

Wolfman, that is not a long post! You should see some of mine!

$6 does seem awfully steep, but I don't buy Braggs. I use Hain or Spectrum and pay about $3.50 for a quart.

Do you have a Trader Joes anywhere nearby? I've been using their coarse sea salt at $3.49 a pound for a couple of years.

Be aware, please don't start both at the same time!

Also, just an fyi, this really belongs in the "everything else" forum since it isn't directly related to the Atkins diet. It is just something that some of us do... I'll leave it here for now.

Hope you find a better deal!

Blessings!

Thanks for the reply Sharon.

The closest Trader Joes is about 2 hours up the road so I might have to order online.

Yep, I was planning on holding off on the Sea Salt until I get into a good groove with the ACV.

PS - I had actually started this post in the other Group but got distracted by people coming in the office. When I restarted the post I posted to this group by habit (bad wolfman!)

Wolfman,
The Braggs brand in my HFS is $3.99 for 32 oz. I get the Spectrum for about $3.25.

As for the Sea Salt, I bought the Hain all natural see salt in the light blue container (looks just like a table salt container) at my local grocery store. I think it was Kroger, but It might have been Meijer. It is just evaporated sea water.
