I am having trouble. I dont know why but im not in ketosis. My menus seem to fit the LC OWL:
Breakfast: Eggs or LC Faux Pancakes with COffee (DV syrup and cream)
Lunch: 2 cups spinach salad with raw and blanched broccoli, mushrooms, and full fat dressing
Dinner: steak and 1 cup steamed veggies
Snack: 2 TBSP of Pnut butter (all natural, 3 net carbs)or whipped heavy cream with cocoa

For some reason im not in ketosis according to the strips... and im not losing any weight or inches... i dunno what im doing wrong but im worried.

Sarah,

You've lost 11 pounds, that's something! Are you exercising? It doesn't seem like you're eating enough protein. Try going on Fitday.com and put in everything that goes into your mouth. Maybe try giving up the cocoa? Not much help...but just a few ideas.

Are you drinking your water! I hope you are.
However, water drinking can have an effect on the ketosis readings. It is best to do the ketosis strip right before bed, having not drank a ton of water for a few hours prior.

Good luck all!!

Are you drinking a lot of water? Water will dilute the ketones so it will not show up as dark. If you really want to be sure you are in ketosis, try backing off your water for a day and test in the evening. Just the 1 day though! Also, if you do an induction type menu for a day or two, you can jump back into ketosis. It might be that something is throwing you out of ketosis. The chocolate carb countdown milk does it to me. I drink the Soy Slender now with no problems.

Have you checked the stix? Are they out of date? These things expire fairly quickly (six months) after opening--and might expire sooner if exposed to moisture, like in bathroom. Are they the right kind of stix?
